摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously cut and notch a spirally formed pipe by arranging an upper pipe cutting knife adjacently to an upper notching knife, and arranging a lower pipe cutting knife adjacently to a lower notching knife. SOLUTION: In the cut position of a pipe 42, knife positioning mechanism moves a lower knife assembly 300 upward to abut on the pipe 42. Pipe cutting knives 306, 456 therefore overlap each other and cut the pipe 42. Lower notching knives 302, 304 are positioned to overlap each other by each lifting bracket 314. Lower notching blades 305, 307 therefore overlap with upper notching knives 352, 360 and notch the pipe 42 in the specified positions.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a continuously formed spiral pipe into relatively short fractions by arranging a hydraulically actuated cylinder assembly so that an edge of an external knife can be moved in the almost radial direction so as to contact with the whole circumference of a pipe. SOLUTION: A second bridge of a pivot arm 106 is installed in a head part 88 by an eccentric shaft for increasing force of an external knife 104 acting on a pipe. When rotating a base part of this shaft, an eccentric tail end part moves in a straight line shape in a slot, so that the pivot arm 106 moves the external knife 104 inward in the radial direction with a larger speed and stronger force than the direct action to the pivot arm 106. The base part of the shaft is rotated by a hydraulically actuated cylinder assembly 128 for rotating the arm 106.

摘要： An apparatus (10) and method are provided for cutting a sheet of material (24) into a plurality of segments having curved edges. A sheet of material (24) is placed on a frame (12) having a horizontal support member (20). A clamping device (26, 38) secures the sheet and a first mechanism (56, 58) moves the clamping device and sheet in axial direction. A cutting head assembly (78) is provided with a passively rotatable knife (154, 156) adapted to cut the sheet as the sheet moves in an axial direction past the knife. The cutting head assembly (78) is rotatable about a vertical axis and movable in a lateral direction perpendicular to the axial motion of the sheet. A second mechanism (104, 106) moves the cutting head assembly in said lateral direction, and a third mechanism (130, 132) rotates the cutting head assembly. To produce a continuous cutting line, a controller sends a signal to the first, second, and third moving mechanisms which simultaneously move the corresponding components at a desired rate and distance.
