    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound-transmissive cover assembly which provides protection from the ambient environment to transducer devices, such as microphones, loudspeakers, buzzers, ringers and the like.SOLUTION: The cover assembly has a microporous protective membrane that is captivated at the outer region near the edges between two adhesive support systems. An inner unbonded region surrounded by the bonded outer region is provided so that the protective membrane can displace or move in response to acoustic pressure waves. The protective membrane design in conjunction with the configuration allows sound energy to pass through the protective membrane with very low attenuation, while being able to withstand long-term exposure to liquid intrusion. An embodiment of the cover assembly includes an attached acoustic gasket so as to exhibit sealing function and focus acoustic energy to housing apertures.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent delivery and deployment system for use with self-expanding stents.SOLUTION: A traction tube 16 extending over the entire length of a diametrically compressed and constrained stent and everting back over itself is incorporated, and the outer everted portion of the traction tube 16 preferably extends to a proximal end of the delivery system. A constraining sleeve 14 is provided between the inner, non-everted portion and outer, everted portion of the traction tube, a constraining sheath 14 extends over the entire length of the constrained stent prior to deployment and diametrically constrains the diametrically compressed self-expanding stent. By pulling 27 to the proximal end of the traction tube, the constraining sheath starts to move in a proximal direction, the constrained stent is freed as it moves and the stent is allowed to deploy against a wall of a body conduit in which it is located during a deployment process.
