    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring system which realizes the shortest measuring time and high operational reliability, without using any linear sensor being of expensive accurate length measuring devices.
      SOLUTION: A mass production-use apparatus for dimensional inspection of a machined part is provided, which uses an electric servo cylinder composed of a rotational-linear motion converting mechanism employing a screw and an electric servomotor capable of freely controlling a cylinder speed in a measurement operation, does not use any external sensor for the measurement, uses the first time machined part as a dimension work master and leverages a "recursive positioning" performance capable of realizing a high precision, thereby clearing disadvantages of conventional apparatuses.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a sliding screw mechanism having life performance not inferior to that of a ball screw and an electric rotation/linear motion conversion mechanism using the sliding screw mechanism. SOLUTION: A screw and a nut after polished are combined and rubbed with each other under the conditions of loading and speed of a sliding surface corresponding to such a numerical value that the product of loading and speed is maximized on the screw sliding surface under actual usage conditions for establishing sliding conditions more suitable for a surface roughness to provide substantially zero sliding wear for the rotation/linear motion conversion mechanism. They are also combined with a motor having such output property in a whole surface area that the product of the loading and speed on the sliding surface is smaller than the product of the loading and speed on the sliding surface during rubbing with each other.
