摘要： A monolithic polarization controlled angle diffuser includes a system having a first surface and a second surface, a controlled angle diffuser pattern for providing an angular distribution at an illumination plane, the controlled angle diffuser pattern being on one of the first and second surfaces of the substrate, and a polarizing pattern on one of the first and second surfaces of the substrate. The controlled angle diffuser pattern includes at least two controlled angle diffuser elements. Each controlled angle diffuser element outputs different angular distributions. The polarizing pattern includes at least two polarizing elements. Each polarizing element corresponds to a respective controlled angle diffuser element. The at least two polarizing elements output polarizations are rotated with respect to one another.

SOLUTION: The integrated electro-optic module includes an electro-optic active component formed on a first substrate, a connecting pad formed on the first substrate, an optical component formed on a second substrate, and a spacer formed between the first substrate and the second substrate. A passage is formed between the electro-optic active component and the optical component. The electro-optic active component is enclosed by the first substrate, the second substrate, and the spacer. The first substrate and the second substrate are fixed by way of the spacer in the direction perpendicular to their surfaces. SOLUTION: An optical system includes a homogenizer 10 which irradiates an output beam obtained by converting an input beam 14 on a wafer through a mask having a fixed target area. The homogenizer has a hologram composed of a plurality of facet regions. Each facet region 12 comprises a plurality of diffraction fringes having irregular pattern forms. The pattern form as the whole of a facet region formed by each diffraction fringe differs in each facet region. Pattern forms of the respective diffraction fringes in each facet region are constituted so that the output beam is irradiated with a continuous intensity distribution on a fixed target area of the mask and the output beam not to be interrupted with the mask is irradiated to a wafer with a uniform intensity distribution.
