    • 1474375 Two part couplings CARR FASTENER CO Ltd 7 Aug 1974 [8 Aug 1973] 37511/73 Heading H2E An electrical socket 23 comprises a body of plastics electrically insulating material, integrally formed with gripping parts 26, 27 for gripping parts of a flexible circuit 18 which is folded over a tongue 11, the socket sliding over the tongue and circuit and having resilient electrical contact members (30, Fig. 4 not shown) received in contact housing 29 which contact the respective bare conducting paths of the circuit 18. A resilient catch member 28, which comprises a locking member 40 at the end of an arm 39, engages behind a catch member (15 Fig. 1 not shown) on the tongue 11. One end of the socket is relieved at 38 to cooperate with the ribs (17, Fig. 1 not shown) on the tongue. The tongue may have spikes for penetrating the flexible circuit, or location lugs (13, 14 Fig. 1 not shown) which engages apertures (21, 22 Fig. 2 not shown) in the flexible circuit.

    • 1326018 Lamp holders CARR FASTENER CO Ltd 25 Nov 1970 [19 Dec 1969] 61929/69 Heading H2E A lamp holder for a double-filament wedge base lamp has contact carrying members 20, 34, 27 mounted on an insulating material body, contact members 22, 35, 36, 28 being arranged on the carrying members as shown in Figs. 5-7. Channels in the body, 7-11, Figs. 3, 4, (not shown), accept the contact members, the carrying members extending through slots in the base of the body and being retained therein by tongues and embossments e.g. 42 and 43 Fig. 6, engaging the body. The contact members are arranged to form two pairs, one at each side of the body, the pairs being offset relative to each other (Fig. 1) a recess in the body behind one pair accepts a plate 52 having tongues 53, 54 to engage depressions in the lamp base and a tongue 55 to engage with a shoulder in the body to retain the plate therein. The plate may also be formed with an additional resilient tongue to steady the lamp Fig. 10 (not shown). The centre channel opposite the plate receives the polarity key of the lamp.
