摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic thermometer which predicts a stabilized temperature in an early stage of a measuring process causing the reduction of time required for obtaining a final temperature reading.SOLUTION: There are provided a method and a device for rapidly predicting the temperature of an object through a sensor reading of the object's temperature by using a processor. The processor includes finite impulse response (FIR) filters to determine the average value, the first derivative, and the second derivative of the sensed temperature based upon a predetermined number of temperature samples, apply a respective weighting factor to each of the average value, the first derivative, and the second derivative respectively, and calculate a temperature estimate by combining the weighted average value, the first derivative, and second derivative together with an offset factor.

The infusion system also includes a measurement device that measures an amount of undelivered first infusate remaining in a receptacle. Furthermore, the infusion system includes a control system that communicates with the first and second delivery devices and the measurement device, determines an optimum first infusate infusion flow rate based on the measured amount of undelivered first infusate remaining in the infusion system, a predetermined infusion time period, and a predetermined first infusion time period, and controls the first delivery unit accordingly.

The bearing structure includes a first portion having a slot in the lateral direction of an opening end which terminates within a bearing surface for the journal or hinge pin, and a second portion movable relative to the first portion. The system can also determine when a condition or alarm warranting notification of the care giver to correct the condition exists, and display information about the condition or alarm on the display, including associating a warning graphic or icon representative of the condition or alarm with an icon representing a specific medical device or portion of a medical device. The system includes a rules data base and decision engine which can be used to determine the existence of conditions which require notification to the care giver.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luer connection that seals off a male luer connector in a male-female connection so that users of the connector are protected from hazardous drugs that remain on a luer tip surface when disengaged.SOLUTION: The male connector 200 has two internal valves 206, 208 and vacuum-generating structures 212, 210, which are configured to draw back into the male connector any fluid residing on the interface between the male and female connectors during their disengagement from one another and to then seal the distal tip of the male connector. Both the valves are opened and closed by an actuator plug 224 that is moved with the front surface of a female connector. A resilient member 210 biases the male valves to the closed position and includes a variable internal volume 212 that creates a vacuum upon disengagement of the male and female connectors. The male valves are timed to a particular sequence with the closing of an internal female connector valve so that the vacuum generated by the male connector will have the most fluid drawback effect.
