摘要： The plug-in includes the voltage regulating transformer and the electronic voltage regulator having at least one power transistor capable of gerating heat. The combination is housed in a thermoplastic sealed container with a heat sink mounting the power transistor and extending along one surface to distribute the heat generated throughout the surface of the casing. The enclosure includes plug-in terminals connected to the input of the transformer and output terminals, positioned in a shielded portion of the case such that the case when mounted provides no exposed terminal of hazardous high voltage and has a substantially uniform temp. and low profile to be mounted in a location where, because of its construction it will create no hazardous condition for personnel.

The regulator circuit, Fig. 4 (not shown), includes a power transistor 80 controlled by a semi-conductor chip. The transistor 80 is mounted on a flange 42 of a heat sink aluminium plate 40 which dissipates the heat produced over the base of the plastics housing so that no hot spots are produced.

摘要： This invention relates to automatic dual mode battery charging circuit which includes rectifying means and an adjustable voltage rectifier energized by the rectifying means and providing an output to a battery to be charged. The circuit includes a voltage controller connected to the voltage regulator means to set the level of voltage output from the voltage regulator and hence the charging current to the battery. The voltage regulating means provides two modes of operation, namely, a fast charge and a float mode of operation. A current detector connecting in series circuit with the voltage regulator and the battery provides a means for detecting current flow through the battery and controls the operation of the voltage controller, to change the output of the voltage regulating means between the two modes of operation.
