摘要： PURPOSE: To provide an adaptive threshold device used in a digital transmission system, particularly, such a digital transmission system in which a given digital signal forms an signal eye surrounded by a voltage-time area. CONSTITUTION: An adaptive threshold device is constituted of a means which detects the relative amplitude of a digital signal to a threshold at a discrete point of time which is coincident with a signal-eye and another means which decides the actual rate at which the digital signal exceeds the threshold in response to the detected relative amplitude of the digital signal, compares the decided rate with a statistically predicted rate, and generates a correcting signal which drives the threshold toward a prescribed level which only passes through an interference area between symbols so that the actual rate may become nearly equal to the predicted rate.

摘要： PURPOSE: To realize a plasma etching process used for manufacturing the device of very fine structure, by reacting a wafer under the designated condition in a plasma produced from a gas mixture including fluorine. CONSTITUTION: A parallel plate reaction vessel is made up of an etching vessel 10 consisting of a cylindrical nonconductive part 12 and two conductive plates 14, 16. A wafer 20 is placed on a holder 18 by a cover plate 24 with a window penetrated therefrom and supported thereto. An end plate 14 is connected to a position of a reference potential like ground. The plate 14 acts like an anode of the reaction vessel. The sample holder 18 configures a driven cathode of the reaction vessel. A proper gas compound including fluorine is introduced in the vessel 10, and an electric field is applied between the anode 14 and the cathode 18 to allow a reaction plasma to be generated in the vessel 10. The plasma generated therein has a uniform dark space just close to the surface of the sample to be etched. A volatile product formed on the surface of the sample in the etching process is discharged from the vessel by a pump system 42.

摘要： PURPOSE: To perform use in a conventional TV receiver as well by modulating only color information signals relating to the scanning line signals of CHDTV image signals by the remaining side wave carrier wave frequency of conventional color image signals. CONSTITUTION: HDTV composite image signals composed of the scale-raised ones of the color image signals of a relating conventional system are generated. The composite image signals send out information relating to a prescribed multiple as one segment and are converted to CHDTV color image signals provided with the same line scanning speed of the format of relating conventional system image signals. At the time, respective composite scanning lines are extended by a factor equivalent to the prescribed multiple. Then, the scanning line signals in the range of a stipulated luminance band are formed. Further, different scanning lines are formed as scanning line difference signals separated from the scanning line signals at the frequency of the base band color sub carrier waves of the image signals of a relating conventional television system. Thus, the conventional image signals are shared by providing NTSC signals.
