摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new class of pheromones which stimulate the resuscitation of bacteria after dormancy or resuscitation factor (RP-factor) which may exhibit activity at picomolar concentration since the latent states of pathogenic bacteria become serious medical issues.
SOLUTION: RP-factors, their cognate receptors, convertases, respective genes and inhibitors or mimetics thereof are described. In particular, antibodies, pharmaceutical compositions and therapeutic and diagnostic methods based on the RP-factors and their receptors/convertases are described.
