摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat assembly which is integrated with a seat itself, is mechanically simple, a small size manufactured at low cost, is operated even if an operator is positioned at any part of the seat, and is equipped with an operator presence switch being less obstructive than an operator feels the presence.
SOLUTION: Both a lever 16 and an operator presence switch 20 are positioned between a seat cushion 14 and a seat cushion support pan 12. The lever 16 is movable between upper and lower positions. A spring energizes the lever 16 to the upper position. The switch 20 is designed and located so that all of its components are housed within the support pan 12 and none of these components extends below or outside of the pan 12. When the seat is occupied, the occupant's weight depresses the cushion 14 and, in turn, the lever 16 moves against the force of the spring toward its lower position and the switch 20 is actuated.

SOLUTION: The seat frame 10 comprises a unitary magnesium die cast body (simple main body) 12 having a top face 14, a bottom face 16, both sides 18, 20, a front face 22 and a back face 24. The front face 22 has an outer perimeter flange 28 positioned adjacent to the both sides 18, 20 and the top face 14 of the main body. An inner perimeter flange 30 is spaced from and coextensive with the outer perimeter flange 28. The front face 22 has also at least one approximately horizontally extending horizontal flange 34 and at least two diagonally extending diagonal flanges 36. This constitution and die cast magnesium are used. The frame main body has a large hole 44 in a position to lower the gravity center of a seat assembly.

Laterally extending front and rear cross members engage upper ends of the scissor links. The guide member is mounted to the upper housing and oriented parallel to the fore and aft travel path. Two vertically disposed guide engaging rollers are mounted to the scissors assembly cross members. The guide engaging rollers cooperate with the guide member at spaced locations to stabilize the upper housing in a direction generally perpendicular to its fore and aft travel path.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a vehicle seat assembly comprising a seat support pan, a seat cushion, a spring biased lever and an operator present switch. Both the lever and the switch are located between the cushion and the pan, effectively integrated within the seat. The lever is movable between upper and lower positions, with its associated spring biasing the lever toward its upper position. The switch is designed and located so that all of its components are housed within the support pan and none of these components extends below or outside of the pan. When the seat is occupied, the occupant's weight depresses the cushion and, in turn, the lever moves against the force of the spring toward its lower position and the switch is actuated. Because the switch is located completely within the seat cushion, the seat assembly's vertical dimension or envelope is minimized and the design of the seat support and/or suspension located below the seat pan is simplified.

The perimeter section has a foam density greater than that of the main cushion body 12 and the border 36 of the cover 16 is bonded directly to this perimeter section.
