    • PURPOSE:To obtain the radar antenna able to reciprocate at a high speed laterally a far beam narrow in the lateral direction and wide in the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting mirror 1 of a quadrilateral long laterally is parabolic in a cross section in the short direction. A radio wave radiation wall face of a waveguide slot array 2 is arranged while being directed in a face of the reflected mirror at a position roughly coincident with a focal point 4 of the reflecting mirror. A dielectric body 3 is a hollow cylinder and driven around a center axis 32 of an outer cylinder while a waveguide slot array is penetrated in the hollow part. The hollow part is cylindrical but its center axis is not coincident with the center axis 32 of the outer cylinder but tilted. A radio wave radiating from the waveguide slot array is bent in the lateral direction by a refraction of a dielectric body but reciprocated laterally in response to the turning of the dielectric body and a fan beam is emitted from a laterally long reflecting mirror while being reciprocated at a high speed laterally.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the performance of adjustment work and of practical application by receiving only either of horizontal and vertical polarized wave signals so as to apply proper plane of polarization adjustment even to other polarized wave. CONSTITUTION:A plane of polarization adjustment section 1 is turned and its turning is stopped at a position where a plane of polarization is matched with either of horizontal and vertical polarized wave signals and a scale of an angle scale member 5 is matched to a reference mark or reference member 8 provided to a plane of polarization adjustment section 1. Then the plane of polarization adjustment section 1 is turned from its angular position to a prescribed to a prescribed angular position represented by the angle scale member 5 to adjust the plane of polarization plane to other polarized wave signal mechanically. Since the plane of polarization adjustment is executed even to other plane of polarization signal by receiving only either of the polarized wave signals in this way, the adjustment is made simple and easy.
