    • PURPOSE:To increase the speed of passing a fluid through a cage valve and to increase the capacity of the valve by inclining the opening side edge of a window of a cage in a fixed direction and disposing the cage, with the axis thereof sideways from the center of the valve body. CONSTITUTION:A valve body 1 has the upper and lower partition chambers 3, 4 partitioned by a partition wall 2, and an inlet 5a and an outlet 5b are formed on both sides of the respective partition chambers 3, 4. A cage 7 having a plurality of windows 6a-6d on the peripheral wall is fixed on the partition wall 2 by a cover 8. A plug 10 supported on a valve shaft 9 is inserted in the cage 7, and the open areas of the windows 6a-6d are increased and decreased by moving up and down the plug 10 to control the flow rate. In this case, the opening side edges of the windows 6a-6d parallel to the axis are inclined in a fixed direction with respect to a plane which includes the axis of the cage and is radially extended. The cage 7 is disposed at an eccentric position, with the axis thereof shifted sideways at a distance E from the center of the valve body 1.
