    • PURPOSE:To use a large quantity of fine particle raw materials without deteriorating the furnace condition by detecting fluidized condition of small particle size charging layer at the time of charging the small particle size raw material into a blast furnace and adjusting operational condition in the blast furnace based on this detection. CONSTITUTION:The changing number of raw material into the blast furnace is divided into two or more and among them; the particle size of one or more charging material layers at is made less than that of the other charging material layers; the surface of the charging material in the blast furnace is radiated with light from a light source 11; and the behavior of the projected particle is caught with a fluidization detector (image fiber) 7. The behavior of this particle is outputted as the projected image on a TV monitor 9 through a TV camera 8 and the image is analyzed with a signal processing system 10 to judge fluidizing condition. In this result, when the fluidization develops, signal for changing position of a movable arm 5 is outputted to a position setter 6 and newly set so as to reduce permeability at the position developing the fluidization.

    • PURPOSE:To stabilize the brick masonry down to the bottom surface of cooling ironware and to improve the durability of titled construction by providing metal- made boxes with partitions between a bracket and the cooling ironware, and packing shapeless refractories between the rear faces of the boxes and a sheet iron shell. CONSTITUTION:Cooling ironware 6 is fixed and installed below a bracket 2 provided with ribs 3 of the mouth part of a blast furnace over the entire circumference of the inner side of a sheet iron shell 1. Refractory bricks 5 are built from the inside lower part of the furnace down to the bottom of the ironware 6. Metal-made boxes 8 having partitions 7 are provided between the ironware 6 and the bracket 2 and are welded or bolted to the ironware 6 and the bracket 2. Shapeless refractories 10 are packed via studs 9 into the space parts between the boxes 8 and the shell 1. The adverse influence by the abrupt temp. change in the mouth part upon the refractories 10 and the bricks 5 is decreased by the cooling effect of the ironware 6. The raw materials charged from the furnace top part are stagnated in the sections encircled by the partitions 7, and play the role of self-lining, whereby the durability in these parts is improved.
