    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing lateral stiffness without impairing a grounding property, and improving steering stability.
      SOLUTION: Between right and left bead portions 3, two-layered carcass layers 4, 5 having reinforcing cords (a) aligned so as to tilt at an angle θ of 60 to 86° in regard to the tire circumferential direction TC are extended. The two-layered carcass layers 4, 5 are disposed so as to make the reinforcing cords (a) intersect with one another while reversing tilting directions to the tire circumferential direction TC. A reinforcing layer 12 wherein a reinforcing cord (f) extending along the tire circumferential direction TC aligned in a tire diametrical direction and buried in a rubber layer (r), is provided on an inner surface 2a of a side wall portion 2. The width (w) of the reinforcing layer 12 is within a range of 25 to 100% of tire cross sectional height TH.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire improved in durability while maintaining driving stability, even in the case of forming three carcass layers.
      SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire has three carcass layers 4A-4C comprising several carcass cords inclined with respect to the tire radial direction and arranged to cross each other between the carcass layers. When the number of twists T (times/10cm) of the carcass cord included in first or the third carcass layer 4A-4C counted from the inner peripheral side of the tire and a twist coefficient (T×√D) obtained from a total display decitex D (dtex) is K1 or K3, K1 and K3 satisfy a relation that K2/K1≥1.1, and K2/K3≥1.1, and K2≤3200.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress tilting of a bead portion of a tire and stably keep tire running performance by providing a carcass ply with a plurality of reinforcing members arranged in a width direction of a tire tread and crossing ply cords. SOLUTION: At least one carcass ply consisting of steel cords and the like is provided with ply cords 4a which are arranged around a tire in a width direction of a tread to form a basic frame of the carcass ply, and a plurality of reinforcing members 4b which are arranged in the width direction of the tread and crossing the ply cords 4a (which is in a direction of tire rotation). In case of a pneumatic tire for a heavy-duty vehicle which is to be applied with particularly heavy load, when excessive load is applied to the tire, spacing between the ply cords 4a widens and thus a bead portion of the tire is tilted. However, the reinforcing members 4b can surely suppress these gaps between the ply cords 4a.
