A bolt (14) and wing nut (12) slideably supports each clamping member (8). The saw is clamped between the strips and the clamping members with the spacing between guide member and the teeth of the blade being adjustable to vary the maximum depth of cut which the saw can effect. The gauge is of particular advantage where a repetitive sawing action requiring a specific depth of cut, needs to be performed.

摘要： 1502596 Sawing G W WYNN 21 May 1975 [24 June 1974] 27930/74 Heading B5L Apparatus for use in making a saw cut at a required location on a workpiece comprises bearer means 2 adapted to be placed on the workpiece and carrying saw guide means 14 defining a sawing plane the bearer means extending to one side of the sawing plane and workpiece location means 30 adjustably extending on the opposite side of the guide plane. The location means may carry a reversible stop or locating element 36. The saw guide may have a renewable plastics facing 14 adjustably mounted on a dovetail formation 78 so as to provide a depth stop (the upper edge engaging the spine or back of a handsaw) or alternatively a depth stop 74 may be provided. A spring clip 10 which may be pivoted to an out-of-use position normally urges the saw blade against the face 14. A rib 4 on the side face 8 of the bearer means is engageable with the top face of a workpiece to locate the saw guide face perpendicular to the axis of the workpiece. Two devices may be connected together by transverse rods 82, Fig. 7, and wedge devices 90 may be attached to the side faces 8 in various attitudes to provide for angled cuts, e.g. for dovetail joints. Means are also described (Fig. 9, not shown) for attachment to the side face 8 whereby the device can be located with the saw guide face 8 parallel to the axis of a vertically held workpiece for cuts to be made in an upper end face thereof.

摘要： The saw (1) comprising a blade and a hand grip, incorporates several measurement and tool devices (6, 7, 16, 17, 18). On the hand grip (2) the three dimensional devices are incorporated whilst those two dimensional are on the saw blade (3). For angular determination, the hand grip (2) has corners (8-11) cut at appropriate angles. The grip is five sided, the two corners (9-10) flanking the hand grip side enclose an angle of 90 deg., whilst at least one of the other corners is at an angle of 135 deg. The hand grip also incorporates at least one spirit level (16, 17) each level being parallel to an outer side of the saw. The hand grip incorporates an extension of the blade back edge. Two spirit levels fitted in the grip are arranged at 90 deg. to each other and in a common carrier.
