A drive mechanism generates a time varying electromagnetic field extending into the first stage. A flame silhouette element extends from the second pendulum member, and a light source transmits light onto the flame silhouette, which is moving due to the magnetic coupling of the pendulum members.

The present shunt is a conductive spring held in position by a shunt housing between the two conductive terminals so that both of its curved lateral ends contact the terminals when the bulb holder is removed. When the bulb holder is inserted, a pushrod on the flat central portion of the conductive spring presses the spring down into a well in the shunt housing so that the curved lateral ends of the conductive spring are drawn away from the electrical terminals, thereby allowing current to flow through the Dumet wires to the filament.

    • The present invention discloses an improved Christmas bulb structure, which comprises: a bulb shell; two conductive wire, extending from the interior of the bulb shell to the exterior of the bulb shell; an insulator, separating those two conductive wires; an elastic platelet, installed between those two conductive wires; a tungsten filament, with its two ends separately connecting the elastic platelet and one of those two conductive wires; and a transverse conductive wire, installed inside the insulator and between those two conductive wires; when the Christmas bulb structure is electrically powered, the other conductive wire will contact the elastic platelet, and the tungsten filament will be lit on.     • The flexible wire leads of several unbased miniature lamps are welded or soldered end to end in series to form a lamp string that has one end electrically connected to a rigid center wire extending upwardly from the center foot terminal of a lamp base so that, with the base fitted on a spherical or other rounded transparent bulb, the lamp string connection to the rigid wire will be near the central longitudinal axis at the opposite end of the bulb. This insures myriad reflected lamp images that give the visual impression of many more lamps with greater apparent illumination though requiring only a few watts of energy.
