摘要： Systems and methods for detection of malicious exploitations in a multimedia file are disclosed. In one embodiment, such an approach includes parsing the compiled bytecode of a multimedia file to detect identified key instructions and determine if such key instructions are repeated in specific patterns that signify the presence of malicious exploitation. The approach may also include examining the contents of the constant pool table in a compiled multimedia file to detect specific shellcode strings that are indicative of presence of malicious exploitation. When the bytecode or the constant pool table indicates that malicious exploitation is present, an approach may be utilized to reduce instances of false positive identification of malicious exploitation.

The system and method allow comparisons between a query image and one or more catalog images in a manner that is resilient to scanning, scaling, rotating, cropping and other distortions of the query image. The system also includes a matching module that matches a query image to one or more catalog images. 摘要： A data de-duplication approach leverages acceleration hardware in SSDs for performing digest computations used in de-duplication operations and support on behalf of an attached host, thereby relieving the host from the computing burden of the digest computation in de-duplication (de-dupe) processing. De-dupe processing typically involve computation and comparison of message digests (MD) and/or hash functions. Such MD functions are often also employed for cryptographic operations such as encryption and authentication. Often, SSDs include onboard hardware accelerators for MD functions associated with security features of the SSDs. However, the hardware accelerators may also be invoked for computing a message digest result and returning the result to the host, effectively offloading the burden of MD computation from the host, similar to an external hardware accelerator, but without redirecting the data since the digest computation is performed on a data stream passing through the SSD for storage.

摘要： A system and method for relating files in a distributed data storage environment is described that allows for positive identification of membership of a file within a group, even in a loosely coupled environment where files are not available for comparison in real time. In disclosed embodiments, base files of a client are stored on a server and are accompanied by tokens uniquely identifying the base files. The tokens are generated on the client and may be derived from the contents of the base file using a digital signature. Each file transmitted to the server is accompanied with a token. Incremental backups may be used, and may employ file differencing. Accordingly, sub-files related to the base files may be transmitted to the server for backup. The sub-files are related to their respective base files using the tokens and are cross-linked to the base files so that any sub-files can be retrieved together with the base file from which the sub-file was derived.
