    • The invention relates to a distribution module (1) and method for operating a distribution module. A distribution module comprises a housing (2) and a bus connection (3) and multiple device connections (4). Selection means (5), in particular a rotary selector switch, are provided, by means of which one of multiple communication protocols which are stored in a memory within the housing (2) can be manually selected from outside the housing (2). Alternatively, the selection means can also be configured as a DIP switch, membrane keyboard, touchscreen or key switch. The memory is preferably non-volatile. When a protocol is chosen and the controller parameterises the distribution module via said protocol, and a device then starts cyclic data exchange, the ID of said protocol is thereby also stored in a non-volatile manner. Electronic units such as computing units, memories, power supply and the suchlike are accommodated in the housing (2). In addition, the distribution module (1) comprises a bus connection (3), with which the distribution module (1) can be connected via a data line to a computing unit which is not represented. The distribution module (1) preferably comprises multiple device connections (4) which are similar or different to each other. The electro-mechanical or electronic adjustment option preferably relates to industrial fieldbus devices, such as I/O distribution modules, which work with standardised communication protocols (e.g. Profibus, PROFINET IO, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, SERCOSIII, Powerlink, CANopen, DeviceNet).

    • An image obtaining apparatus includes an image pickup unit, a stage, a connection unit, a movement mechanism, a position detection unit, and a control unit. The image pickup unit includes an objective lens. The stage is configured to determine a position of a pathology slide in an optical axis direction of the objective lens, and the pathology slide is an image pickup target of the image pickup unit. The connection unit is provided to the stage. The movement mechanism is connected to the stage through the connection unit and configured to move the stage in the optical axis direction. The position detection unit is configured to detect a position of the stage in the optical axis direction for a measurement point preset on the stage. The control unit is configured to control the movement mechanism by using at least a result of the detection by the position detection unit.

    • A storage system for the storage of setting values for adjusting devices on printing machines including a portable memory unit for the exchange of data with a device for communication, preferably disposed on the printing machine. A housing of the memory unit contains electrically operated, solid-state storage elements that are coupled to an electronic control unit for making logic decisions. The memory unit contains at least one data input in the form of at least one contactlessly working sensor and a data output in the form of at least one contactlessly scannable output element, both optically coupled to corresponding optical elements of the device for communication through viewing windows during data exchange. For the display and input of storage information and values, a display and a manual input device are located on the memory housing. The memory unit is supplied with power without metallic coupling by an external power supply which supplies a power supply internal to the memory unit with the operating energy required by means of inductive capacitive or sound generated externally to the memory unit. This assures a largely interference-proof and substantially maintenance-free data exchange.
