    • A parallel printing system is provided to integrate output of a plurality of stand-alone printing systems by using an interposer for integrating the output of the stand-alone printing systems. A plurality of interposer modules(12-18) is more than two interposer modules adapted to receive more than one printing input stack, and is connected to a printing media path adapted to receive printing media from the printing media input stacks. More than one interface module(20) is connected to more than two interposer modules. A controller(4) is connected to the interposer modules and more than one interface module. The interface module controls a sequence of printing media sheets to the interface module from the printing media input stacks and generates a command for transferring the printing media stacks generated by the printing systems to predetermined interposer printing media stack inputs. A printing media interposer system merges the received printing media input stacks to the predetermined sequence and outputs the merged printing media to a printing media handling system(10).

    • A method for performing color-to-color correction for printing multiple copies of a print job having one or more documents is disclosed. A first copy of the print job is printed using a plurality of color planes. A first plurality of color registration errors produced during the printing of the first copy of the print job is determined. For each document in the print job, a processor is used to determine a first plurality of local color plane correction values for each color registration error produced during the printing of the first copy of the print job. Each of the first plurality of local color plane correction values corresponds to one of the first plurality of color registration errors. A second copy of the print job is printed using the local color plane correction values for each document in the print job.

    • A system and method using an electrographic printer for printing of a print including an image and a particular pattern using techniques that also allows the selective application of non-conventional toners to an image formed on a printed media using registration marks to locate the original image on the printed media in order to provide proper alignment of the non-conventional toner image to the original printed image. The system employs two printers, the first is a conventional EP printer with the capability (internal or via driver software) to place registration marks on the print media along with the printed image, and a second printer adapted to read the registration marks on the printed media. Once the registration marks are read the non-conventional toner image is applied by the second printer in relative relation the positions of the read registration marks.
