A boiler(1A) recovering heat effectively and having water tubes containing durable fins includes a boiler drum(10) where an outer water tube bundle(30) and an inner water tube bundle(20) are arranged like rings, a burner(40) at the center of the inner water tube bundle. Space between innermost water tubes(21) and other inner water tubes next to the innermost tubes is closed except for space formed as a conduit of gas. At inner water tubes and/or outer water tubes located at the gas conduit have fins(23).

    • The diathermic fluid heat generator comprises a plurality of pipe nests for fluid circulation, which define the internal walls of a combustion chamber, where the diathermic fluid is heated directly by radiation; and at least a pipe nest in a conveying path for the combustion gas, where the fluid is heated in countercurrent by convection. A fluid distributing header unit comprises an inlet header section, an outlet header section and a main header section having an annular form, positioned at the front side of the combustion chamber. The pipe nest of the gas conveying path is connected in series to the pipe nests of the combustion chamber, by the main header section. Moreover temperature and pressure control means are provided for controlling the fluid circulation; the control means comprise a temperature and pressure detecting device in each section of the fluid distributing header, and an electronic control unit fed by temperature and/or pressure control signals generated by each detecting device to monitor and control the generator operation.

    • A watertube boiler for all types of boilers including natural circulation, forced circulation and one-through types. The boiler includes a plurality of heat absorption water tubes forming a heat absorption watertube unit in the furnace. The heat absorption watertube unit comprises a relatively dense arrangement of heat absorption water tubes disposed in the combustion path of the burner, such that the flame of the burner impinges on the unit. The heat absorption watertube unit can be arranged in the first stage of a watertube boiler having at least one additional furnace stage receiving exhaust gas from the first stage. The additional stage can be disposed either perpendicularly and horizontally, and the air/fuel mixture in each stage is maintained at a specificied ratio to optimize combustion of the fuel. A method of operating a watertube boiler having three stages is also provided. By using the watertube boiler and method, the generation of nitrogen oxides can be controlled and the volume of the boiler can be reduced.
