摘要： A damper includes a cylinder, an annular rod guide, a rod, an annular oil seal, and an annular seal holder. The cylinder internally forms an action chamber. The rod guide is secured to one side opening of the cylinder. The rod is inserted through an inner peripheral side of the rod guide so as to be axially movable. The oil seal is installed to the action chamber side of the rod guide to be slidably in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the rod. The seal holder supports the oil seal from the action chamber side. The rod guide includes a holding portion to hold the seal holder.

摘要： A monotube shock absorber which is capable of high compression damping forces while operating at low pressure for reduced friction is disclosed. The monotube shock absorber includes a pressure tube, a piston assembly, a piston rod, a fixed valve assembly and a floating piston. A variety of methods for securing the fixed valve assembly to the pressure tube are disclosed including use of single piece pressure tubes and pressure tube assemblies. In addition, a method for assembling the monotube shock absorber including an oil filling technique is described.

The on-off valve opens/closes a third hydraulic oil passage that allows a first oil chamber on a free piston side and a second oil chamber between a first piston and a second piston to communicate with each other. The on-off valve includes an expanded diameter portion in the first oil chamber extending outward in the radial direction. The expanded diameter portion faces the entire opening edge of the through hole and tightly contacts an end surface of the piston rod. The magnitude of a damping force is easily changed, and a damping force characteristic in a case in which the damping force is large is stabilized.

摘要： Embodiments of an isolator are provided. In one embodiment, the isolator includes a damper housing having a radially-extending partition wall through which a central opening is formed. First and second hydraulic chambers are located on opposing sides of the radially-extending partition wall and may be filled with a damping fluid. At least one restricted orifice is formed through the damper housing and fluidly couples the first and second hydraulic chambers. The isolator further includes a damper piston, which extends through the central opening, which is exposed to the damping fluid when the first and second hydraulic chambers are filled therewith, and which is configured to translate along the working axis with respect to the damper housing during operation of the isolator.
