    • PURPOSE:To prevent separation by providing a metal part on the boundary surfaces between the friction pad and the insulating layer, and damping layer, and forming each layer so as to be completely integrated. CONSTITUTION:A wire gauze 4 is provided on the boundary surface 6 between a friction pad 2 and the second layer 3. A packing plate 1 coated with an adhesive is placed at the bottom of a metal mold, and from above the second layer material, the wire gauze 4 and friction pad are pressurized while being heated to form a friction pad assembly. The void between respective layers of the friction pad and the second layer is filled by its fluidity through the clearance of the wire gauze 4, and the friction pad and the second layer is formed to be completely integrated via the wire gauze 4. Thus, the occurrence of crack and separation of the boundary layer of the friction pad assembly due to a high temperature and heat strain can be prevented.
