摘要： An ignition timing regulating device for use in an internal combustion engine for regulating the ignition timing of the engine depending on the pressure of ambient atmosphere. Based on the fact that the pressure in the intake manifold of the engine is equal to the pressure of ambient atmosphere in the starting stage of the engine, the output of a pressure sensor sensing the intake manifold pressure in the engine is applied to an atmospheric pressure sensing circuit so as to sense the value of atmospheric pressure in the engine starting stage, and the output of this atmospheric pressure sensing circuit is used for correcting the ignition timing of the engine.

摘要： An internal combustion engine having an ignition chamber forming a closed circular cylinder and communicating via at least one transfer channel with a main combustion chamber with the ignition chamber cylindrical wall being controlled by means of an annular thermal pipe to a virtually constant, high temperature and protected against a rapid cooling toward cooled parts of the internal combustion engine and against overheating. An ignition device inserted into the ignition chamber, with an electrode, forms a spark gap toward the cylindrical wall of the ignition chamber in the region between the middle of the ignition chamber and the transfer channels. To improve the stability of the electrode, the electrode is provided with a heat conductor so as to provide more severely leaning of the fuel-air mixture to be ignited while avoiding glow sparking and reducing the emission of noise.

摘要： A spark ignition distributor assembly having air density compensating means is provided for use with an internal combustion engine. A first distributor plate is rotatably mounted between a first and second position within a housing while a second distributor plate in turn is rotatably mounted between a first and second position on and coaxial with the first distributor plate. A distributor shaft is rotatably journalled in the housing and extends coaxially through both distributor plates. An actuator connected to the shaft selectively actuates a make-and-break switch mounted on the second plate. The rotational position of one of the plates is controlled by the manifold vacuum of the engine while the rotational position of the other plate is controlled substantially by the density of the incoming air to the engine via appropriate sensing devices.

摘要： An altitude compensating apparatus for use with an engine includes a bellows in which the air or gas is confined at a predetermined suitable pressure. The bellows expands as the atmospheric pressure lowers on the high lands. A first valve operatively connected to the bellows opens air outlet to introduce the air into air bleeds of a carburetor with the expansion of the bellows thereby to reduce the fuel mixed with the air in the carburetor. A second valve connected to the bellows operates to introduce the negative pressure into a vacuum advancer of a distributor with the expansion of the bellows thereby to advance the ignition timing of the engine.
