摘要： The present invention provides water repellant curable compositions comprising (i) one or more polyacid comprising at least two carboxylic acid groups, anhydride groups, or salts thereof, (ii) one or more polyol comprising at least two hydroxyl groups, (iii) one or more reactive waterproofing agent chosen from a C5 to C30 alk(en)yl 2-hydroxyethyl (alk(en))amide, C5 to C30 alk(en)yl bis(2-hydroxyethyl)amide, C11 to C30 alk(en)yl 2-hydroxyethyl (alk(en))amine, C11 to C30 alk(en)yl bis(2-hydroxy-ethyl)amine, C11 to C30 alk(en)yl tris(2-hydroxyethyl)amine, C5 to C30 alk(en)yl monoglyceride, C5 to C30 alk(en)yl monocarboxylate of a trihydric polyol, and mixtures thereof, and, (iv), optionally, one or more phosphorous-containing accelerator, wherein the ratio of the number of equivalents of said carboxylic acid groups, anhydride groups, or salts thereof to the total number of equivalents of said hydroxyl groups is from 1/0.01 to 1/3. The compositions provide concentrates dilutable with water to make thermosetting aqueous binder compositions for use in methods to treat or contact substrates chosen from a non-woven, woven and a composite, e.g. glass fiber substrates, followed by drying and curing.

摘要： Disclosed is an antibacterial nanofiber which comprises a polymer having an electron-withdrawing group and/or an electron-withdrawing atomic group and has an average fiber diameter of not less than 1 nm and less than 1000 nm, wherein the ratio of the binding energy of the minimum unit of the polymer at 25° C. to the binding energy of the electron-withdrawing group and/or the electron-withdrawing atomic group contained in the minimum unit of the polymer at 25° C. is 0.13 or greater. The nanofiber has an antibacterial activity by itself, and therefore can exhibit an antibacterial activity without the need of adding any antibacterial agent.

摘要： A nonwoven fabric contains extra-fine fibers which contain linear bonded regions and/or dot-like bonded regions, and non-bonded regions on a surface of the extra-fine fibers. The bonded regions account for from 10 to 80% of a surface area of the nonwoven fabric. A distance between neighboring bonded regions is at most 20 mm. The nonwoven fabric has an excellent ability to wipe off dirt including oily stains and persistent stains, it well follows even three-dimensionally patterned faces of the articles to be wiped with it. Its feel and its washing resistance are good.

摘要： A method of forming durable nonwoven fabrics by hydroentanglement includes providing a precursor web comprising a blend of matrix fibers, lyocell fibers, and fusible binder fibers. The precursor web is subjected to hydroentanglement on a three-dimensional image transfer device to create a patterned and imaged fabric. Fabrics formed in accordance with the present invention exhibit significant improvements in strength while remaining drapeable and are capable of withstanding multiple laundry washing with nominal shrinkage.
