摘要： Disclosed is an activatable catalyst which is effective for the reaction of a hydroxyl compound and an isocyanate. Preferably, the catalyst is utilized in the cure of a coating composition of a polyol and a polyisocyanate. The activatable catalyst is activated in the presence of an amine activator or heat and comprises the reaction product of a metal catalyst selected from a tin catalyst, a bismuth catalyst, and mixtures thereof; and a molar excess of a complexing agent. The complexing agent is selected from a mercapto compound, a polyphenol characterized by being reactable with an isocyanate group in the presence of a tertiary amine activator, and mixtures thereof. A single polyol resin may bear both the complexing functionality and the activatable catalyst. Advantageusly, the polyol and polyisocyanate both are aliphatic.

摘要： Organopolysiloxanes having substituted carbamoyloxy groups (.tbd.SiOCO--NH--) bonded to silicon via oxygen, which are prepared by reacting an organopolysiloxane containing Si-bonded hydroxyl groups with an organic isocyanate in the presence of an organic tin compound.The stability of the organopolysiloxanes containing carbamoyloxy groups may be improved if the organopolysiloxane having Si-bonded hydroxyl groups is reacted with an organic isocyanate in the presence of an organic tin compound which is supported on a solid carrier and then the reaction product is filtered under anhydrous conditions to remove the supported organic tin compound.

C. and solid at room temperature,(C) an aliphatic dibasic acid or anhydride thereof, and(D) at least one tin compound represented by the formula SnO.sub.2, R.sub.2 SnO, R.sub.2 SnX.sub.2, R.sub.2 Sn(OCOR').sub.2, ##STR1## R.sub.3 SnX, R.sub.3 Sn-O-SnR.sub.3, ##STR2## or R.sub.4 Sn wherein R is phenyl or alkyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, X is halogen, alkoxyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms or hydroxyl, R' is alkyl or alkenyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms and n is an integer of 1 to 5.The coating composition comprising the specified four components (A) to (D) can give coatings which have outstanding surface smoothness even when less that 100.mu. in thickness.
