摘要： Disclosed is a closure for a container, such as a blow molded jug having a neck surrounding an opening therein, the closure having a first annular portion and a second annular portion. The first annular portion in the closure has a wiper seal and a lip seal. The second annular portion exerts an upward pressure on the lip seal which causes improved sealing and leak-tight properties during shipping, handling, etc. The upward pressure also enhances the effectiveness of the wiper seal. The second annular portion may include an annular tear skirt having a pull tab for the removal thereof to facilitate removal of the closure from the container. The closure may also include a plug seal, and a lower annular portion extending from the second annular portion.

摘要： A plastic container lid is adapted for openable attachment to a container. The lid comprises a main lid member having a peripheral, annular outer first wall. The lid also comprises an outer ring member carried on the annular outer wall of the main lid member in sealed but separable relation. The outer ring defines second and third spaced walls to form an annular space which receives the annular lip of a container in locking relation therewith. The main lid member is removable from and reattachable to the outer ring member by the user while carried on the annular container lip. Thus, the outer ring member effectively becomes part of the container, being attached by a permanent snap-fit connection, to improve the hoop strength of the container along with other advantages as described herein.

A continuous ring is affixed to the downward projections. A plurality of tamper-evident hooks are frangibly attached to said ring. The hooks are visible through openings in the downward projections. The hooks engage the container, but when the lid is removed, the hooks fracture away from the ring and the tampering with the package is apparent. In the preferred embodiment, a bead on the lid engages the sidewall of the container to provide a resealable, airtight seal.

摘要： A lid has an inverted U-shaped peripheral rim, which rim snaps over the upper edge of a container sidewall. There are three separate sealing zones between the lid and the container. First, the cover portion interior of the snap on rim has a plug fit interference relationship with the interior of the container. Second, the outer leg of the snap on rim has an interference relationship with an outwardly extending sidewall ridge near the upper edge of the container. Third, the outer leg of the snap on rim also has an inwardly facing ridge which snaps over the sidewall ridge and has an interference relationship with the outer surface of the container sidewall. A tear-off strip constitutes the lower portion of the outer leg of the snap on ridge and tears off below the inwardly facing ridge. The lower edge of this tear off strip abuts against a ledge which extends outward from the container sidewall thereby inhibiting tampering with the strip until initial opening is intended. A vertical weakening line adjacent a pull tab on the tear-off strip further inhibits tampering with the tear-off strip.

摘要： The invention relates to a receptacle comprising a lid, an upper edge region, and a receptacle wall. The lid has a circumferential external edge that externally embraces the edge region of the receptacle and is provided with a tamper-proof seal. The lid can be detached from the receptacle once the tamper-proof seal has been at least partly removed or has been moved. In a further embodiment, the circumferential lid edge has a tab that is molded on, extends downward, and can be swiveled relative to the lid. If said tab is actuated, the lid can be at least partly detached from the receptacle. At least part of the tab penetrates the lid edge such that at least one section of the lid edge laterally adjoins the tab. The tab is designed in such a way that it can be moved from the closed position penetrating the lid edge into an open position. The tab is connected to an adjacent section of the lid edge by means of at least one tamper-proof connection which is destroyed when the tab is swiveled in the direction of the open position thereof. The circumferential lid edge can be designed as a tear-off edge.
