The invention is further related to the endless band (300) and the fiber material block, which is the source for the fabrication of the endless band (300).

The tiles (10) are sliced from a rectangular, elongate composite beam (12) which is formed by assembling and securely adhering together a plurality of elongated wood pieces (14a-14g) and possibly one or more non-woods products. The beam (12) is then sliced into individual tiles (10) having a substantially uniform tile thickness and a predetermined pattern of primarily end grain wood which is substantially consistent among all of the tiles (10).
