    • The present invention generally relates to impact type training equipment for sports. More particularly, the present invention provides a portable impact assessment device that can be utilized across a broad variety of sports equipment to allow an athlete to measure various aspects of impact training. The apparatus generally includes an impact module constructed of a flexible material. The impact module is constructed and arranged to be sufficiently thin and compact to be placed within an impact type training aid within the impact target area of the device. The impact module is fluidly connected to an electronics module so that, upon impacting the training aid, the impact module is compressed to send a fluid signal to the electronics module. A pressure sensor within the electronics module receives the fluid signal generating an electric output that is displayed on a multi digit digital display.

    • Aspects of the disclosure relate to a sports sled configured to be used individually or in connection with one or more additional sports sleds. The sports sled includes a support base and a support frame fixedly attached to the support base. The support frame can be configured to support an attachable pad that absorbs impacts thereupon such that the support base can slide on a support surface, such as the ground. The sports sled can also include connection plates and connectors configured to couple the sports sled to another sports sled positioned adjacent to the sports sled. In some embodiments, a first connection plate and its associated connectors can extend parallel to the ground, and a second connection plate and its associated connectors can extend perpendicular to the ground. The connection plates can be removably connected to the sports sled using, for example, connectors configured as pegs.

    • A martial arts training device has a base assembly fixed to a torso assembly in a manner that allows the torso assembly to pivot with respect to the base assembly. The base assembly includes a container with a convex shaped bottom that contains ballast with a greater concentration of weight located at a front portion of the container. The base assembly includes a base cushion member with leg portions. The distribution of weight in the container and the weight of the leg portions causes the martial arts training device to rebound to an upright state when the device is displaced from an upright state during use of the device during training.

    • An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for a training apparatus. The apparatus includes a first member, a second member, and a biasing member. The first member has a concave engagement end opposite an extension end. The concave engagement end includes a recess defining an at least partially spherical engagement receiving space. The second member includes a convex engagement end disposed opposite an extension end. The convex engagement end has a substantially convex surface which is matingly receivable within the engagement receiving space of the first member. The biasing member is engaged with the first member and biases the engagement receiving space of the first member in a mating engagement within the convex engagement end of the second member. The convex engagement end of the second member is laterally displaceable from within the engagement receiving space in the first member in response to a displacing pressure.

    • A physical training system comprises a resistance structure, and at least one resistance unit disposed thereon, wherein an athlete may attach to the resistance unit by way of a cable that is incorporated in the resistance unit. The at least one resistance unit may exert a resistive force on an athlete through the cable. The system may further comprise at least one target object, against which an athlete may make selective physical contact as part of a training regimen. The system may further comprise sensors and data collection devices for tracking an athlete's performance. The system allows the exertion of force on an athlete from a plurality of directions and according to various movement patterns (including non-linear movement patterns) of an athlete.
