    • A spreader device in a storage container, such as a silo compartment, for uniform filling of the container with granular storage goods. A generally conical body (1) is suspended for rotation about its longitudinal axis in the container below the outlet of the fill spout of the container, and the upper narrow end of the body faces the mouth of the fill spout (2) and forms the bottom of a number of upwardly open channels which are distributed over the outer side of the body in the peripheral direction thereof and open at the lower end of the body, each of the channels being associated with a transverse blade (7) fixed to the conical body radially outwardly of the lower end thereof. The blades (7) take different degrees of inclination to the longitudinal axis of the body.

    • A method and apparatus are disclosed for forming alternating layers of coarse feed elements and fine feed elements when loading a livestock feed storage structure. The apparatus includes a center fill tube and a movable distributor supported from the center fill tube. The distributor includes a pan and a drive to rotate the pan about a central axis. When positioned in alignment with the center fill tube, feed is distributor filled into the storage structure. When positioned out of alignment with the center fill tube, feed is center filled into the storage structure. Alternating between distributor fill and center fill creates the layering of coarse and fine elements.

    • The material distributing apparatus is located within and adjacent the top of a silo and functions to evenly distribute silage in a symmetrical cone shape over the cross-sectional area of the silo. Material from the delivery end of a material conveyor tube is first directed against a radially positioned deflector member that is pivotally supported for adjustable movement in a path extended longitudinally of the silo. The radially positioned deflector member in turn directs the material against an upright deflector member that is pivotally supported for adjustable movement in a path extended transversely of the silo. Material from the upright deflector member is then directed downwardly in a direction axially of the silo.

    • In an apparatus for directing material from a blower pipe line onto a stove surface or into an enclosed space, a rotating deflecting flap is positioned in the path of the material issuing from the discharge end of the pipe line for distributing it in a uniform manner. The deflecting flap is positioned outwardly from the discharge end of the pipe line and extends in a downwardly inclined fashion so that its surface extends into the path of the material flowing from the pipe line. Further, the deflecting flap is not only rotatable about the axis of the discharge end of the pipe line but is angularly displaceable relative to the pipe line axis for varying the manner in which the material is directed from the flap. To provide the desired movement of the deflecting flap, a pair of wind wheels are provided in the path of the discharge end of the pipe line on opposite sides of the discharge axis, and motion transmission means are connected between the wind wheels and the deflecting flap. The wind wheels are pivotally supported so that they can be arcuately displaced outwardly from the axis of the discharge end of the pipe line.
