摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective method for changing the amplitude of a stylus to be used together with a measuring probe in the resonant frequency of the stylus by providing a vibration damping means in the internal space of the stylus. SOLUTION: A stylus 4 protruded from a probe 2 is provided with a spheric chip 5 to be brought into contact with a work piece. The stylus 4 has a stem 10 made of such a material as steel, ceramics, etc. A cartridge 12 is attached to the end section of the stem 10 and a stylus ball 5 is attached to the free end of the cartridge 12. In the hollow cartridge 12, a dynamic vibration absorber 16 is arranged occupying a smaller volume than the internal space of the cartridge 12. Since the absorber 16 is constituted of a cylindrical rubber sleeve, glass dust, etc., has an outside diameter slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the internal space of the cartridge 12, and is not restricted, the absorber 16 sufficiently damps the vibration of the stylus 4 at the maximum amplitude.

SOLUTION: At the time of supporting a stylus holder 16 by support structure provided with a pair of balls 20 and a support roller 24, on a flange 14 extended radially inward, the balls are positioned in a recess 22 on the flange 14 to clamp without using an adhesive. Clamping pressure can be generated by energizing a plug toward the flange 14 by a lip 54 provided at the upper end of a housing. An electric circuit generating a trigger signal through the balls comprises a flexible member 40 with a conductive element formed. The member 40 is positioned on the flange 14 while covering the recessed part 22 and deformed into the recessed part 22 when clamping force acts. With the use of clamping force, excellent electrical connection between the balls and the conductive element is ensured, and wiring for the balls is dispensed with.

A processor 50 generates a correction factor on the basis of the signal value of a sensor, it computes an actual displacement amount on the basis of the displacement amount of the first counter 30, it compares the actual displacement amount with the corrected displacement amount of the second counter 80, and an instantaneous frequency at a time when the secondary pulses are sent to the master counter is controlled according to the difference between the computed actual displacement amount and the corrected displacement amount of the second counter 80. Thereby, the corrected displacement amount of the second counter 80 is made equal to the actual displacement amount.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a mode hopping and also suppress a side mode of a semiconductor laser. SOLUTION: A diffraction grating 18 receives laser beams from a semiconductor laser diode 12. The beams are diffracted by way of a first-order diffraction of the grating 18, passing through an aperture 26 selecting a required wavelength. As a result, a side mode of the laser diode is eliminated. A small part of the light is reflected at a glass window 26 and, returned and fed back to the laser diode, thereby to stabilize the laser diode. Accordingly, a mode hopping is prevented. A large part of the light of the required wavelength passed out to an output port 20 through the window 28. The output light has no side mode and is not subject to mode hopping, and therefor is fit for use as an exciting light at the spectroscopy including the Raman spectrometry.
