    • An operator compartment (102) of a work vehicle (100) having an HVAC-system is disclosed. The HVAC system includes a pressurizer blower (118) and an air-conditioning system coupled to an electronic circuit (168). The electronic circuit (168) is configured to reduce the output of the pressurizer blower (118) when the operator selects a high output from the air-conditioning system. The HVAC system is also configured to provide defog operation in both a manual mode and an automatic mode of operation. The HVAC system is configured to reset the defog operation when the vehicle ignition (186) is turned off or turned back on. The HVAC system is also configured not to reset the defog operation when the operator switches rapidly between the automatic mode and the manual mode of operation.

    • A wet clutch (100) includes a clutch carrier (102) that encloses a stack of clutch plates (104) and a clutch backing plate (184). Two sets of alternating slots are provided in the clutch carrier (102). One set of slots (188) is shallower than the other set (114) and is configured to support the clutch backing plate (184). The other set of slots (114) is deeper and is configured to support many of the clutch plates (116). The first set of slots (188) is shallower in order to keep the clutch backing plate (184) from pressing against and partially binding the stack of clutch plates (104) together.

    • A transmission is described for a motor vehicle having selectable four-wheel drive. The transmission comprises a coupling 100 for selectively applying torque to the front wheels of the vehicle to switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive in dependence upon slipping of the driven wheels.
      The coupling 100 comprises a drive member 18 rotatable with the rear wheels, a driven member 24 rotatable with the front wheels, the drive and driven members being movable axially relative to one another, teeth 20, 22 on the drive and driven member which mesh with one another in a first relative axial position of the drive and driven members to transmit torque from the drive to the driven member and which are disengaged from one another in a second relative axial position of the drive and driven members to disconnect the drive to the front wheels. Slipping of the rear wheels is sensed electronically by a control that includes sensors 50, 52 and is used to move the drive and driven members axially between the first and second relative positions in dependence upon the determined presence or absence of slipping of the driven wheels.
