    • Disclosed is a controller for restraining vibration of a driven element driven by a servomotor. The driven element driven by the servomotor is provided with acceleration detecting means. A correction value is obtained by multiplying a detected acceleration value detected by the acceleration detecting means by a coefficient. Correction is made by subtracting the correction value from a velocity command, and velocity feedback control is executed in a velocity control processing section to obtain a current command. Further, the servomotor is driven by current control processing, whereupon the driven element is moved. If the detected acceleration value is increased by vibration of the driven element, the velocity command is corrected to restrain the vibration, so that the vibration of the driven element can be restrained. Processing time can be shortened to restrain the vibration of the driven element by executing the correction of the velocity command based on the detected acceleration value for each velocity control period.

    • In a TV lens system including a TV lens apparatus and a control unit, CPUs of the TV lens apparatus and the control unit monitor intervals between received data in serial communication in a digital control mode. If the data transmission stops for a predetermined time or the received data has an error, the CPUs determine that the communication is abnormal and switch the control modes of the TV lens system from the digital control mode to an analog control mode by operating switching devices. Display units show that the system has been switched to the analog control mode. If the CPUs detect the communication being abnormal, they may display abnormality of the communication on the display units to inform the user of the abnormality of the communication so that the user can switch the control modes by manually operating analog setting switches. Information indicating the abnormality of the communication is stored in an EEPROM, and presented to the user when the TV lens system starts to operate afterward.

    • The present invention provides a plasma display panel in which the fluorescent substance layer or the reflection layer is formed easily and accurately even for a minute cell structure, and in which the fluorescent substance layer or the reflection layer is formed evenly in the channels between the partition walls formed in stripes, or such a layer is formed also on the sides of the partition walls. To achieve this purpose, a fluorescent substance layer or a reflection layer is formed by applying a fluorescent substance ink or a reflection material ink continuously onto the channels, the ink being spouted out from a nozzle which runs along the partition walls. The nozzle may be directed to one side of the plurality of partition walls while running. Pressure may be put upon the ink having been applied onto the channels so that the ink sticks to both sides of the partition walls. The ink may be continuously spouted out from a nozzle while a bridge is formed between the nozzle and both sides of the partition walls by surface tension of the ink. A plate with a plurality of partition walls and channels in between may be formed so that adsorption of the sides of the channels against the ink is higher than that of the bottom of the channels.

    • In oscillating an oscillating body, a control unit obtains a load torque due to the gravity acting on a drive motor at least at one angular position defined about an axis of rotation. The control unit calculates a specified maximum acceleration depending upon if the load torque Q is acting in a direction in which it hinders the acceleration or deceleration of the drive motor 15 or is acting in a direction in which it assists the acceleration or deceleration. An acceleration for the oscillating body is set so as not to be greater than the calculated specified maximum acceleration. The control unit adjusts the acceleration of the oscillating body depending upon the load torque of when the oscillating body 13 is accelerating or decelerating.
