    • PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a pipe by providing a double steel pipe having an inner pipe slidably held in an outer pipe through intermediate material, and applying thrust to the outer pipe and intermediate material for propulsion while connecting the end parts in succession. CONSTITUTION:The rear end face of the inner pipe 2' of a propulsion double steel pipe 1' already propelled so as to have its rear end protruded into a shaft is welded to the front end face of the inner pipe 2 of a new propulsion double steel pipe 1. Segments 10 are fitted to a recessed part formed by the outer peripheral surface of the inner pipes 2, 2' and the side faces of concrete 4, 4' as intermediate material. The outer plates of the segments 10 are then welded to the outer pipes 3, 3', and the outer plates of the adjacent segments 10 are mutually welded. Propulsion hydraulic jacks 22 are then set to the rear end of the pipe 1 through a push ring 21, and thrust is applied to the outer pipe and the intermediate material for propulsion. Since thrust is thus applied only to the outer pipe and intermediate material, the collapse of the inner pipe end face and the internal stress of the inner pipe can be prevented, and also the buckling of the outer pipe is prevented. The reliability of pipe burying work can be also improved.

CONSTITUTION:The rear end face of the inner pipe 2' of a propulsion double steel pipe 1' already propelled so as to have its rear end protruded into a shaft is welded to the front end face of the inner pipe 2 of a new propulsion double steel pipe 1, and then grout hoses 6, 6' are connected thereto. Segments 10 are fitted to the connecting part outer periphery of the inner pipes 2, 2', and the boundaries 10d to outer pipes 3, 3' and also the mutual segments 10 are welded. Propulsion hydraulic jacks 22 are set to the rear end of the pipe 1 through a push ring 21, and thrust is applied to the pipe 3 for propulsion. After the propulsion and accommodation, cement milk is filled into a space between the ring members 4, 4' of the connecting part while pulling out the hoses 6, 6'. Since thrust is thus applied only to the outer pipe, the collapse of the inner pipe end face and the internal stress of the inner pipe can be prevented, and the buckling of the outer pipe can be prevented. The pipe can be also solidified with fill.

    • PURPOSE:To enable highly accurate detection of a buried pipe by a method wherein an output of a magnetic sensor is measured moving a detector horizontally and a phase direction orthogonal to the phase direction is extracted from the output to detect buried pipe depending on a size thereof. CONSTITUTION:A phase direction is measured with respect to a transmitting magnetic field 9 of a magnetic field due to the earth, and then an output of a magnetic sensor 7 is measured moving a detector 1 horizontally in a direction assumed to be that orthogonal to the buried pipe 11 on the surface of the ground at a location where the buried pipe 11 is assumed to be buried. A signal compo nent extracted from an output of the sensor 7 is a constant multiple of the sum of a magnetic field by a current induced in the buried pipe 11 and a direct transmitting magnetic field from a transmitter 2 and is free from effect of the magnetic field due to the earth. Thus, the phase direction is set on a signal processing means 8 to process an output signal of the sensor 7 thereby obtaining such a signal component.
