摘要： A fifth-generation wireless communications network includes a server node, radio network equipment and a wireless device. In an example method, a server node receives first user data in response to (i) the wireless device receiving from the radio network equipment information indicating a plurality of uplink access configurations, each uplink access configuration including a random access configuration; (ii) the wireless device receiving an uplink access configuration index; (iii) the wireless device using the uplink access configuration index to identify an uplink access configuration from among the indicated plurality of uplink access configurations, and (iv) the wireless device transmitting the first user data to the wireless communications network according to the identified uplink access configuration. In the example method, further, the server node initiates transmission of second and third user data. This causes the wireless device to (v) receive from the radio network equipment, in a first downlink subframe, a first OFDM transmission formatted according to a first numerology and carrying the second user data, and (vi) receive from the radio network equipment, in a second downlink subframe, a second OFDM transmission formatted according to a second numerology and carrying the third user data, wherein the numerologies have different subcarrier spacings.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for adapting a beam shape of a beam in a wireless communication system having multiple nodes. Each node is provided with an antenna system configured to provide radio coverage in a cell by a cell specific beam. The method includes obtaining geometrical relationships between any pair of antenna elements in a spatial layout of the antenna array. All pairs of antenna elements are classified into sets based on the obtained geometrical relationships, wherein all pairs of antenna elements in a set have substantially equal geometrical relationship in the spatial layout. The method includes determining a representation of channel characteristics as P(β), wherein argument β is a vector of elements, each element relating to a magnitude and/or phase of covariance between the antenna elements in the set, and P is a mapping function based on the classifying. Antenna characteristics are processed based on the representation P(β).
