    • The disclosure provides a method in a communication device for controlling beam-forming (BF) tracking. The method comprises switching the communication device from a coarse BF tracking state to a non-BF tracking state when a first timer expires. The communication device transmits pilot signals for BF tracking, feedback information for BF tracking or both the pilot signals and the feedback information more frequently in the coarse BF tracking state than in the non-BF tracking state. Additionally or alternatively, the method comprises switching the communication device from a fine BF tracking state to a coarse BF tracking state or a non-BF tracking state when a second timer expires. The communication device transmits pilot signals for BF tracking, feedback information for BF tracking or both the pilot signals and the feedback information more frequently in the fine BF tracking state than in the coarse BF tracking state. Correspondingly, the disclosure provides a communication device controlling for controlling BF tracking.

    • Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an efficient discontinuous reception solution applicable in a Licensed- Assisted Access scenario. Particularly, there is provided a method for discontinuous reception at a tenninal device that is operable in both a licensed spectrum and an unlicensed spectrum. The method comprises receiving a subframe on an unlicensed carrier of the unlicensed spectrum during running of a first predetermined timer for which the terminal device is active and then determining whether the subframe is received from a base station that is operable in both the licensed spectrum and the unlicensed spectrum. Further, the method may also comprise extending the first predetermined timer in response to determining that the subframe is not received from the base station and during running of the extended first predetermined timer, keeping receiving a subframe on the unlicensed carrier of the unlicensed spectrum and determining whether the subframe is received from the base station. The extended first predetermined timer may be stopped in response that a subframe is received from the base station. Correspondingly, there is also provided an apparatus for discontinuous reception of a terminal device operable in both a licensed spectrum and an unlicensed spectrum.

    • Embodiments of the present disclosure, an efficient retransmission mechanism is proposed in consideration of uncertainty of resource availability on unlicensed carriers in a Licensed-Assisted Access scenario. Particularly, there is provided a method for data transmission at a first communications device operable in both a licensed spectrum and an unlicensed spectrum. The method comprises initially transmitting a data block on an unlicensed carrier of the unlicensed spectrum to a second communications device operable in both the licensed spectrum and the unlicensed spectrum and retransmitting the data block to the second communications device in response to receiving a negative acknowledgement from the second communications device. The method also comprises abandoning the retransmission under a predetermined condition associated with the unlicensed carrier. Correspondingly, there is also provided an apparatus for data transmission at a communications device operable in both a licensed spectrum and an unlicensed spectrum.

    • Methods, apparatuses, a system and computer program products are provided for autonomously reusing an unlicensed band in a hybrid cellular and device-to-device network. In accordance with an embodiment of the invention, an apparatus receives a request for resources from a terminal, and identifies available resources on an unlicensed band based on the request. The apparatus further reserves the identified available resources for use by the terminal, and transmits a reservation response to the terminal, wherein the reservation response comprises information relating to the reserved available resources. Further, the apparatus transmits data to the terminal over a licensed band and the available resources reserved on the unlicensed band.
