    • The invention relates to a fuel injection system comprising a fuel injection valve (1) having a valve body (20) wherein a valve member (60) is arranged in a bore (62) in such a way that it is axially moveable, being hydraulically controlled by the pressure of the fuel in a pressure chamber (64) and displaced longitudinally counter to a closing force, whereby at least one injection opening (68) is controlled.A control valve (30) is arranged inside the fuel injection valve. Said control valve comprises a control valve member (32) which is longitudinally displaceable in a control valve bore (38). In a first position, the control valve member (32) opens the connection between a high-pressure fuel source (10) and the pressure chamber (64). In a second position, said control valve member connects the pressure chamber (64) to the control chamber (50) and interrupts the connection to the high-pressure fuel source (10). The pressure wave occurring when the control valve (30) is closed enters the control chamber (50) which is connected to a discharge chamber (72) via a receiving bore (43). A pressure bolt (45) is guided in said receiving bore (43), moving synchronously with the valve member (60) in a longitudinal direction by means of a rigid connection. As it moves longitudinally, the pressure bolt (45) impinges upon the valve member (60) as a result of the hydraulic forces of the pressure wave in the direction of closure.

    • The invention relates to a fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, comprising a housing (1), in which a piston-shaped outer valve needle (10) is arranged in a longitudinally displaceable manner in a bore (3). Said valve needle cooperates with a valve seat (13) configured on the end of the bore (3) located on the combustion chamber side in order to control at least one injection port (7). A control chamber (24) is configured in the housing (1), wherein pressure in the control chamber (24) can be regulated by a valve (33). As a result of the pressure in the control chamber (24), a closing force is exerted at least indirectly upon the outer valve needle (10) in the direction of the valve seat (13). At least one pressure surface (9; 101) is configured in the outer valve needle (10). An inner valve needle (12) is guided in the outer valve needle (10), which controls at least one additional injection port (7) on the valve seat (13) and which is impinged upon by the pressure in the control chamber (24) at least indirectly in the direction of the valve seat (13).
