    • A wireless communication network improves reverse link communication performance by changing one or more Automatic Repeat Request (ARQ) control settings as a function of measured or estimated reverse link loading. Control settings can be changed on a per-sector basis, allowing consideration of different loading conditions in different radio sectors of the network. Further, control settings can be changed for individual mobile stations, or selected groups of mobile stations, allowing different ARQ controls to be used for different mobile stations. By way of non-limiting example, a control circuit in a base station controller can be configured to take advantage of light reverse link loading conditions in a given radio sector by changing the ARQ control parameter(s) used for one or more mobile stations operating in that sector so that fewer ARQ retransmissions are required for those mobile stations to transmit reverse link data to the network.

    • A content syndication access control solution is provided. An illustrative content syndication access control system comprises: a syndication subscriber for acquiring a authorized content syndication feed; content syndication providing means for authorizing the syndication subscriber according to a public key and submitting content to a syndication server; and the syndication server for performing an authorization on content items according to the public key and a symmetric key and encrypting the authorized content items and the symmetric key, and generating the content syndication feed according to the encrypted content items and the symmetric key. By means of the system, the granularity of access control can become finer, and the consolidated content feed maintains all access control information, so existing access control remains valid.

    • Embodiments of the invention disclose a method for realizing WIMAX dynamic QoS and a WIMAX system. The method includes: a media gateway making awareness of the type of a service requested by a user terminal, and notifies a subscriber station to establish a corresponding connection with a base station; the subscriber station sends to the base station a request for establishing the connection and requesting the base station for bandwidth, and establishes a service channel from the media gateway to the subscriber station and then from the subscriber station to the base station. In the method for realizing dynamic QoS provided by the embodiments of the present invention, there is no need to reserve bandwidth; the Service-Aware is performed by Media Gateway (MG); bandwidth is allocated by requesting on demand; therefore the solution of the embodiments may improve the utilization of air interface bandwidth, decrease the complexity for realizing SS, reduce the cost, facilitate the interconnection between WIMAX devices, and improve the service processing efficiency.

    • Method and system for sharing resources in a wireless communication network. According to an embodiment, the present invention provides a method for resource allocation. The method includes providing an access node that is configured to provide wireless access for both voice and data services. The method also includes providing at least a first access terminal that is configured to perform at least voice communication through the access node. Additionally, the method includes providing at least a second access terminal that is configured to perform at least data communication through the access node. The method further includes allocating a first portion of communication resources to the first access terminal.
