    • A portable hand-guided work apparatus (1), such as a motor-driven chain saw, cutoff machine or the like, includes an internal combustion engine (2) and an air filter (10). At least one air channel (8) and an intake channel (7) are provided which fluidly connect the internal combustion engine (2) to the clean side of the air filter (10). The intake channel (7) is configured at least partially in a carburetor (9). The air channel (8) opens at an air channel opening (13, 13′, 13″) and the intake channel (7) opens at an intake opening (12) at the clean side of the air filter (10). Air channel opening (13, 13′, 13″) and intake opening (12) open spatially separate from each other at the clean side of the air filter (10). To prevent the entry of fuel into the air channel (8) from the intake channel (7), the intake opening (12) in the normal work position of the work apparatus (1), seen in the effective direction (17) of the gravity force, has an elevation offset (a, a′, a″) relative to the air channel opening (13, 13′, 13″).

    • A diaphragm carburetor is provided for an internal combustion engine that operates with scavenging air, especially a two-cycle engine in a manually-guided implement. The carburetor has an intake channel portion in which is disposed a butterfly valve that is rotatably held via a shaft and in the vicinity of which fuel-supplying channels open into the intake channel portion. The channels are supplied from a fuel-filled regulating chamber that is formed on a longitudinal side of the intake channel portion in the carburetor housing and is separated by a regulating diaphragm from a compensation chamber. The carburetor has at least one air channel that supplies additional combustion air and that has an air valve that is rotatably held via a shaft. The butterfly valve and the air valve can be brought from a closed position, in which the butterfly valve or the air valve only insignificantly influence the flow in the intake channel portion or in the air channel, into a closed position in which the intake channel portion or the air channel are substantially closed off in an airtight manner, and in an opening direction from the closed position into the opened position. The air valve is coupled to the butterfly valve via a coupling mechanism that compensates for axial and radial tolerances and includes a spring.

    • The invention is directed to a pump for pumping a viscous fluid. The pump includes a stator body and a rotor body rotatably mounted in the stator body so as to be coaxial therewith. The stator body has a wall structure having a spiral slot formed therein which communicates with a suction connection formed in the stator body for conducting the viscous fluid to be pumped into the slot. A pressure connection is formed in the stator body for conducting the viscous fluid out of the slot. The suction connection and the pressure connection open into respective peripheral annular slots which are formed between a total of at least three sealing rings on the outer surface of the stator body. The channels for liquids provided in a housing can be disposed in any rotational position relative to the stator. This affords the advantage that the pump stator can be seated with any rotational position in a receiving cylinder of the housing. The sealing rings are injection molded on the stator body to define a tight seat in the receiving cylinder of the housing without additional seals. By a simple insertion of the pump rotor, a connection between the connections of the pump and the channels in the housing is provided which is tight with respect to the medium under pressure.
