    • An electromechanical motor (1) has a driving element (30) comprising two electromechanical sections (32, 34) extended substantially parallel to a driving surface (14) of a body (10) to be moved. The electromechanical sections (32, 34) are rigidly supported by a backbone portion (22) of a stator (20) at a first end (38). An link member (40) having a single actuating portion (42), which by its interaction with the driving surface (14) of the body (10) moves the body (10), is attached between respective second ends (36) of the electromechanical sections (32, 34). The electromechanical sections (32, 34) are excitable in a vibration mode having strokes substantially perpendicular to the direction of motion (12). A portion of the link (40) or the joints (46, 54) between the link member (40) and the electromechanical sections (32, 34) have a bending stiffness in the direction of the strokes that is significantly lower than the bending stiffness of the electromechanical sections (32, 34) themselves.

    • An electromechanical actuator 10 is disclosed, having drive elements (14a-d) movable in two dimensions and connected to an actuator backing (12). The actuator backing (12) is made of a material being ferromechanically inactive. Furthermore, the joint between the drive element (14a-d) and the actuator backing (12) is stiff and highly stable. This is achieved by use of an irreversible joint made e.g. by thermoset plastic glues, diffusion bonding or co-sintering. Co-sintering is to prefer. The actuator backing (12) material is selected to be stiff, preferably having a stiffness above 70 GPa and more preferably above 100 GPa, and having a high heat conductivity, preferably above 5 W/mK and more preferably above 10 W/mK, Electrodes (22) are preferably integrated in the actuator backing to increase stiffness as well as improving the heat conductivity.     • The present invention relates to a node in a wireless communication system, which comprises at least one transceiver unit, a first and a second antenna function. The antenna functions comprise a first and a second port connection. The transceiver unit is arranged to communicate by means of at least one frequency band. Each port connection is connectable to said transceiver unit via electrical signal delays of different magnitudes. In a first mode of operation, a certain resulting main radiation lobe is acquired when the antenna functions are receiving or transmitting for each frequency in the frequency band. Said main radiation lobe has a main pointing direction with a certain angular direction in azimuth and elevation with respect to a fixed angular direction. The angular direction for every certain frequency is different from the angular direction for any other frequency.

    • Systems and methods are disclosed for modifying network packets to use unrecognized headers/fields for packet classification and forwarding in packet processing systems, such as network tool optimizer (NTO) devices. The packet modifications described allow standard switch or routing integrated circuits (ICs) to process, classify, and forward packets based upon data that is not typically recognized by the hardware capabilities of the standard packet routing circuitry for packet processing. Input packets are modified so that unrecognized data becomes recognized data for purposes of packet processing, classification, and forwarding by the packet routing circuitry. These modifications are then removed after packets are processed to reform the original packets. The original packets are then provided to destination devices based upon packet classification and forwarding control information. As such, packet processing, classification, and forwarding is provided in packet processing systems using headers/fields that are not supported for processing by standard switch or routing integrated circuits (ICs).

    • A working gas control system for a double acting type Stirling engine having two or more piston assemblies reciprocating within bores. Each of the piston assemblies separate isolated cycle volumes of a working gas which undergoes cyclical pressure variations. The pressure equalization system includes forming isolated first and second volumes with the first volume maintained at a low pressure through the use of a check valve. The second volume is maintained at a pressure intermediate of the minimum and maximum pressures of the cycle volumes. By providing controlled leakage paths between the volumes, the mass or volume of working gas in each of the cycle volumes can be maintained in a balanced condition despite minor leakages outside the engine of the working gas and leakage past the piston assemblies separating the cycle volumes. Additional features further include the provision of a control valve which acts to unload the engine for starting or shut down, and further can provide the functions of a check valve and a control leakage path within the engine.

The rod seal assembly seals against a connecting rod extending between a piston and a kinematic drive system. The rod seal assembly includes a separated cap seal assembly and a base seal assembly with a hollow cavity formed therebetween. The cap seal assembly and base seal assembly include sealing element features which provide high performance gas sealing and excellent durability characteristics. The hollow interior cavity of the rod seal assembly may be used as part of an internal volume within the engine used as part of a pressure balancing system for the isolated cycle volumes within the engine.
