    • A steering wheel horn switch includes two contact members and a support member, which supports the contact member and is formed from a light metallic material, and the contact member and the support member are electrically conducted to each other in such a manner to form a horn operating circuit. An electric conductor having electrical conductivity, which is higher than the electrical conductivity of the support member, is disposed between the contact member and the support member in such a way as to come in contact with both the contact member and the support member. The electric conductor is in contact with the support member so that the contact area therebetween is larger than the contact area between the contact member and the support member in the case when the contact member is singly brought into contact with the support member, or so that the electric conductor is brought into contact with the support member by being pushed by the support member.

    • An image data composition apparatus includes a color table in which color data for each of plural color codes is associated with transparency data relating to the transparency of this color data. The color table receives first image data which has data relating to the color of an image as the color code, accepts the color code from the first image data, and outputs the color data and the transparency data which correspond to this color code. The apparatus further includes a composition unit which receives second image data having, as color data, information relating to the color of an image, and composes the color data of this second image data with the color data output from the color table in accordance with a transparency which is decided by the transparency data. Accordingly, the number of transparent colors can be increased by only rewriting the transparency data of the color codes to be transparent colors on the color table and, therefore, the circuit scale is not increased to increase the number of transparent colors. Further, since the transparency data corresponding to each color code is directly output from the color table, the processing cycle is not increased.

    • The leather-wrapped steering wheel of the present invention is provided with a ring portion which is gripped at the time of steering. The ring portion includes a core, a covering layer which covers the core and leather which covers the covering layer. The covering layer includes an annular groove in the circumferential direction of the cross section of the ring portion. The leather is constituted such that binding strings are disposed at the distal edges of the leather in the surface circumferencial direction of the ring portion, and the distal edges are fitted into the annular grooves so as to cover the covering layer. The distal edges of the leather are disposed in the annular grooves together with the binding strings and are fitted into the annular grooves by pulling and tying both ends of the binding strings to each other.

    • In a leather-wound steering wheel, coating layers of synthetic resin are provided in the neighbor of a core of a ring portion which is gripped for steering. The coating layers are provided with fitting grooves provided along the sectional circumference of the ring portion. Pieces of leather covering the coating layers respectively are disposed so that their terminals provided along the sectional circumference of the ring portion are fitted into the fitting grooves in the ring portion core. Reduced portions each having a sectional outer circumference reduced toward the sectional center from general portions of the ring portion core are disposed in the regions of arrangement of the fitting grooves in the ring portion core so that the fitting grooves can be made deeper. Thus, there is provided a leather-wound steering wheel in which fitting grooves for leather terminals in a coating layer can be made deeper.

    • The steering wheel assembly disclosed herein is mountable on a steering shaft and includes at least a bolt, a boss, and a steering wheel body. The boss is adapted to be fitted on the steering shaft and includes a cylindrical portion and a yoke portion formed integrally with the cylindrical portion. The cylindrical portion has a boss serration corresponding to a serration of the steering shaft. The yoke portion has through holes formed near both ends thereof. The steering wheel body includes a ring core bar, spoke core bars coupled to the ring core bar, sheaths covering the ring core bar and spoke core bars, and a pad formed integrally with the sheaths. Part of the spoke core bars are connected to the boss. The bolt has and external thread that is receivable by the through holes and engageable with internal threads of at least one of the through holes so as to permit the boss, to which the steering wheel body is connected, to be fixed on the steering shaft. The boss includes a boss body and flange formed integrally with the boss body. The boss body includes the cylindrical and yoke portions. The boss flange has a larger area than the yoke portion and is embedded in the spoke core bars.
