摘要： A catheter-tip micromanometer includes a photoelastic element, with the photoelastic element changing light propagation constants of two axes perpendicular to each other in response to blood pressure level and direction to which blood pressure is applied. Light is propagated through the photoelastic element at a prescribed angle with regard to the two axes thereof perpendicular to each other by means of a single polarization optical fiber which maintains a plane of polarization whereby blood pressure is measured on the basis of a difference between propagation velocities in two axial directions obtained during the propagation.

An information processing device stores a preset first threshold smaller than the progressively deteriorating SOC of the secondary battery and a preset second threshold greater than the progressively deteriorating SOC, and separates the range from the minimum SOC to the maximum SOC of the secondary battery into, at least, two regions by setting the section from the first threshold to the second threshold as a boundary to thereby cause the control device to charge or discharge the secondary battery within any of the above regions.

摘要： A storage control apparatus manages a plurality of storage devices which belong to an RLU such that data is made redundant between different storage devices. If a first storage device fails, a rebuild controller executes a rebuild process to store the same data as recorded in the first storage device in a spare storage device. When the rebuild controller executing the rebuild process has failed in reading out data from a second storage device, a data recovery controller restarts the first storage device, and reads out data to be stored in the spare storage device from the restarted first storage device.

摘要： An apparatus is provided to control an angle of a light axis of light from headlights mounted on a vehicle. In the apparatus, images of a field of view in front of the vehicle are captured, and the captured images are used to detect taillights of a preceding vehicle. A illumination target position is set by using, as a positional reference, a position of the detected taillights in the captured images, and the angle of the light axis so that the light axis is directed to the illumination target position. The command is provided to an angle changing device, where the provided command depends on the angle calculated. The angle changing device changes the direction of the light axis of the light at an angle commanded by the command.
