摘要： The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of phosphinic acid esters, which comprises a) reacting elemental yellow phosphorus with alkylating agents in the presence of a base to give a mixture which comprises, as principal constituents, the (metal) salts of alkylphosphonous, phosphorous and hypophosphorous acids, b) esterifying the principal constituents of the mixture from a) to give an ester mixture, c) isolating the ester of the alkylphosphonous acid from the ester mixture, d) adding the resultant ester of the alkylphosphonous acid onto an olefin containing a functional group. The invention likewise relates to the use of the phosphinic acid esters prepared by this process, inter alia as flame retardants and precursors for further syntheses.

The method is includes: a) reacting a phosphinic acid source (I) with olefins (IV) in the presence of a catalyst A to give an alkylphosphonous acid, the salt or the ester (II) thereof, b) reacting the alkylphosphonous acid so obtained, the salt or the ester (II) thereof with a vinyl ester of a carboxylic acid of formula (V) in the presence of a catalyst B to give a mono-functionalized dialkylphosphinic acid derivative (VI) and c) reacting the mono-functionalized dialkylphosphinic acid derivative (VI) so obtained in the presence of a catalyst C to give a mono-hydroxy-functionalized dialkylphosphinic acid derivative (III), the catalyst A is a transition metal, a transition metal compound or a catalyst system including a transition metal, or a transition metal compound and at least one ligand, and the catalyst B is a peroxide-forming compound and/or a peroxo compound or an azo compound, and the catalyst C is an acid or a base.

摘要： The invention relates to polymeric phosphinic acids and their salts of the formula (I) where X is hydrogen or 1/m of a metal of valency m, or is a protonated nitrogen base, R1 and R2 are identical or different and are hydrogen, a carboxy group, a carboxylic acid derivative, an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, phenyl, benzyl, or alkyl-substituted aromatic systems, R3 and R4 may be identical or different and are an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group having from 2 to 20 carbon atoms, or are OX, with the above meaning for X, and ū is the average number of monomer units. The invention further relates to a process for preparing the above-mentioned compounds, and to their use.
