    • PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensor high in sensitivity, an S/N ratio, and an optical response speed by a method wherein a photoconductor layer is composed of a single molecule cumulated layer which contains a squarelyrium dye represented by a specified formula. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductor layer 3 is formed on a substrate 1, and electrodes 21 and 22 are formed thereon separating from each other. The photoconductor layer 3 is formed of single molecule cumulated films which contain a squarelyrium dye which is represented by a formula. In the formula, R1, R2, R3, and R4 are alkali groups the same or different from each other. The single molecule cumulated film contains a squarelyrium dye, where molecules are regularly arranged, so that the photoconductor layer 3 has such characteristics that an absorbing coefficient, a quantum efficiency, and a carrier mobility are large and it is uniform in thickness. Therefore, these characteristics contribute to the improvement of properties of a photosensor such as a sensitivity, a high S/N ratio, and a high speed response property.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display on which an image section and a background section are to be formed by an electrophotographic system, and which decreases the pinholes in the image section and the background section and does not disturb the images at a high temperature of about 100 deg.C. SOLUTION: This display obtained by respectively forming the image section and the background section with a color toner and a black toner by an electrophotographic system on an image recording medium, is characterized in that the color toner and the black toner respectively satisfy a number average molecular weights of 1,000 to 6,000 and a mass average molecular weights of 30,000 to 150,000 by gel permeation chromatography in solution of tetrahydrofuran (THF) and have peaks in the molecular weight distributions respectively of the region of the molecular weight 1,000 to 10,000 and the region of the molecular weight 100,000 to 1,500,000 and the ratio occupied by the pinholes per unit area is % in the image sections and the background section.
