摘要： A still camera (1) is provided with an area image sensor for obtaining digital image data, an LCD viewfinder (12), components for photographing image frames on a photo filmstrip in response to a shutter release operation, and a memory for storing the image data. The image data of one frame is written in the memory synchronously with each shutter release operation. In association with the image data of one frame, an ID code of the filmstrip and a frame number of the photographed image frame corresponding to the image data are written in the memory. Based on the data written in the memory, the display device (12) can display a still image of the image frame photographed on the filmstrip, accompanied with the frame number of the photographed image frame. The still camera (1) may be connected to a personal computer to transfer the data written in the memory to a memory of the personal computer, for displaying a still image of the photographed image frame along with the ID code and the frame number on an external monitor, or for making a hard copy of the photographed image frame.

摘要： Printing light beams from a printing head that is driven based on image data are used for recording a latent image in a predetermined exposure area on an instant film. The instant film is exposed through an exposure opening formed through a case of a film pack. The printing head projects the printing light beams linearly along a main scan direction while moving in a sub scan direction perpendicular to the main scan direction. An illumination range of the printing light beams is determined to be wider than the exposure area in the main and sub scan directions, in consideration of clearances between the case and the instant film. So the entire exposure area is exposed even where the instant film deviates inside the case. A light-shielding housing for covering up a moving range of the printing head in a light-tight fashion is formed integrally with a pack loading chamber for loading the film pack.

摘要： A latent image is formed in a predetermined exposure area of an instant film exposed through an exposure opening formed in a case of a film pack by applying printing light from a print head driven according to image data. While the print head is scanning a linear beam of printing light in a main scanning direction, it moves in a sub-scanning direction perpendicular to the main scanning direction. Considering the clearance between the case and the instant film, the area illuminated by the printing light is wider than the exposure area in both main scanning and sub-scanning direction, and therefore the whole exposure area is exposed to the printing light even if the instant film is displaced in the case. Integrally with a pack load chamber in which the film pack is loaded, a light-shielding housing covering an area including the area where the print head moves is provided.

SOLUTION: A finder optical axis by a finder optical system 38 is split in two by a half mirror 33. An image forming surface on one finder optical axis is provided with an area type image sensor 39. The other finder optical axis is guided to an eyepiece 43 by a reflection mirror 37 so that the image forming surface can be enlarged and viewed. Thus, since an object image can be observed not only on the liquid crystal display monitor 12 but through a finder eyepiece window, the photographing action can be continuously executed even when an image pickup part 20, specially, the monitor 12, whose power consumption is large, cannot be driven because the terminal voltage of the power source battery is lowered.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly photograph an object at a desired focal distance just after the power source switch of a camera is turned on by a photographer by setting the initial position of a variable focusing lens at the focal distance position where the object is photographed last. SOLUTION: A CPU 32 is provided with a non-volatile memory, for example, the EEPROM 37. When a shutter 38 is released, the focal distance data of the photographing time thereof is stored in the memory 37. When an operation signal is outputted to the CPU 32 from the power source switch 28, the focal distance data stored in the memory 37 is read out and a lens barrel 14 is set at the focal distance position (initial position) corresponding to the focal distance data by controlling a variable power motor 24 by the CPU 32. For example, when the focal distance data stored in the memory 37, that means, the focal distance of the last photographing time is 45mm, the lens barrel 14 is set at the position of the focal distance 45mm. In such a way, the initial position of the variable focusing lens 12 is set at the focal distance position of the last photographing time.
