摘要： A surgical fastener applier having a handle and a fastener housing extending from the handle. The housing contains a plurality of surgical fasteners. The surgical fasteners have a base, and two legs extending away from the base, wherein the legs have distal end segments. The fastener has a first shape wherein the distal end segments bend towards each other so that they are adjacent and form the fastener into a first loop. The fastener has a second shape wherein the distal end segments are spaced apart from each other along substantially an entire length thereof. The fastener also has a third shape wherein the distal end segments bend towards each other in so that they are adjacent and form the fastener into a second loop wherein the second loop having a width greater than a width of the first loop. The applier includes a means for forming the fastener into the second and third shapes.

摘要： A tissue conveyor (24) includes a conveyor body (25) having a proximal end (28) and a distal end (30). The proximal end includes a handle (32) allowing for operator control of an end effector (34) located at the distal end. The end effector includes a grasper assembly (38) composed of a first jaw bar (40) and a second jaw bar (42) connected by a support base (44) to define a cavity into which tissue is drawn. A first conveyor member (62) is positioned upon the first jaw bar for movement along an internal surface of the first jaw bar and a second conveyor member (64) is positioned upon the second jaw bar for movement along an internal surface of the second jaw bar. The method for creating a tissue fold includes positioning a tissue conveyor adjacent tissue, pushing the respective first jaw bar and the second jaw bar into the tissue in the area where a fold is desired, and pulling the first conveyor member and the second conveyor member proximally to draw the first and second conveyor members and tissue into a cavity defined by the first jaw bar and the second jaw bar to create a tissue fold.

摘要： An apparatus includes an interface assembly and a shaft assembly. The interface assembly is configured for use with a robotic system and includes a first drive assembly and a mounting plate. The mounting plate includes an opening. The first drive assembly is positioned within the opening such that the first drive assembly is laterally translatable within the opening from a first position to a second position. The shaft assembly is removably coupled with the interface assembly. The shaft assembly includes an end effector and a first coupling feature. The first drive assembly of the interface assembly actuates the end effector of the shaft assembly. The first coupling feature is longitudinally aligned with the first drive assembly. The first drive assembly engages the first coupling feature of the shaft assembly when the first drive assembly is laterally translated from the first position to the second position.

摘要： A surgical stapling device for deploying staples connected with suture to tissue includes a handle having a staple actuator mechanism, a tubular support shaft having a longitudinal axis and extending from the handle, and a staple cartridge mounted on the support shaft and connected to the staple actuator mechanism for applying one or more staples to the tissue. 摘要： A reloadable device for deploying fasteners. The device has a handle and at least one actuator. The handle is connected to an elongated hollow housing having distal and proximal ends. The device includes a first cartridge containing at least one fastener releasably connectable to the handle. The fastener has at least two anchors connected together by a non-resilient flexible suture which does not resist deformation under compressible loads. The first cartridge is removable from the handle. The device includes a second cartridge having at least one fastener releasably connectable to the handle after removal of the first cartridge. The second cartridge being insertable into the device from a proximal end thereof.
