摘要： A seal for a joint subjected to oscillatory motion has a W-shaped seal ring which encompasses a backup ring partially. The W-shaped seal ring comprises a driving flange, a sealing flange and an intermediate hinge section connecting the two flanges.The backup ring is adapted to be fitted in the seal ring to force the driving flange into an interference fit with the counterbore walls so as to cause the driving torque to be applied through the seal ring. The seal ring is made of a tough abrasion-resistant material, while the backup ring is made of elastomeric material having excellent resiliency characteristics over a wide range of operating temperatures.The load exerted on the seal flange face is the sum of the compression forces of the backup ring and the seal ring and an internal pressure developed in the enclosed space.

摘要： A demodulation system for digital information, recorded by an FM or PM system, which provides a clock output pulse whose pulse width is proportional to the time length of the preceding bit frame and said clock output signal is utilized for demodulating the recorded data. Said pulse width can be controlled either by an analog or a digital circuit and thus, the present invention has the advantage that the information is demodulated stably though the moving speed of the recording medium is changed or deviated.

摘要： The present invention provides a rare earth-iron-nitrogen-based alloy material which can produce a rare earth magnet having excellent magnetic characteristics and a method for producing the same, a rare earth-iron-based alloy material suitable as a raw material of the rare earth magnet and a method for producing the alloy material. A rare earth-iron-based alloy material is heat-treated in a hydrogen-containing atmosphere to produce a multi-phase powder 1 in which a phase 3 of a hydrogen compound of a rare earth element is dispersedly present in a phase 2 of an iron-containing material. A powder compact 4 produced by compression-molding the multi-phase powder 1 is heat-treated in a vacuum with a magnetic field of 3 T or more applied, thereby forming a rare earth-iron-based alloy material 5. The rare earth-iron-based alloy material 5 is heat-treated in a nitrogen atmosphere with a magnetic field of 3.5 T or more applied, thereby forming a rare earth-iron-nitrogen-based alloy material 6. The rare earth-iron-based alloy material 5 has a structure in which a crystal of a rare earth-iron-based alloy is oriented in the c-axis direction. The rare earth-iron-nitrogen-based alloy material 6 composed of an ideal nitride can be formed by nitriding the rare earth-iron-based alloy material 5 having this oriented structure with the magnetic field applied, and a rare earth magnet 7 having excellent magnetic characteristics can be formed.
