    • A print head cap includes a bottom surface; and a ring-like lip. The ring-like lip surrounds the bottom surface, protrudes toward a nozzle surface of a print head of an ink jet printer and is elastically deformable. The ring-like lip is pressed onto the nozzle surface to cover the nozzle surface therewith. The ring-like lip has corners that change the direction surrounding the bottom surface.     • An inkjet recording apparatus includes: (a) a medium supporter; (b) an inkjet head; and (c) a medium feeder including a first roller and a second roller for cooperating with each other to nip the recording medium, for thereby feeding a recording medium outwardly of the medium supporter. The first roller is displaceable between a projecting position and a non-projecting position, such that the first roller projects out from the medium supporter when being placed in the projecting position. The inkjet recording apparatus further includes (d) a feeder controller configured to control the medium feeder, for causing the second roller to be displaced toward the first roller upon placement of the first roller in the projecting position so as to cooperate with the first roller to nip the recording medium, and causing the first roller and/or the second roller to be rotated, whereby the recording medium is fed outwardly of the medium supporter while the recording medium is being at least partially separated from the medium supporter by the placement of the first roller in the projecting position.

The brancher and the branch pipes are adapted to move integrally with the at least on ink-jet head, and in addition the distal end portion of the ink supply pipe and the brancher are connected to each other in a relatively rotatable manner.

    • An ink-jet recording apparatus has rollers, an endless conveyor belt, a conveyor belt driving mechanism, an ink-jet head, an absorber, a scraper, a supplier, and a supply controller. The endless conveyor belt spans the rollers. The conveyor belt driving mechanism rotates the rollers so as to move, in a predetermined conveyance direction, a record medium disposed on one surface of the conveyor belt. The ink-jet head has nozzles that eject ink to a record medium. The absorber absorbs cleaning fluid and applies the cleaning fluid to the one surface of the conveyor belt by coming into contact with the one surface of the conveyor belt. The scraper comes into contact with the one surface of the conveyor belt and scrapes the cleaning fluid attached to the one surface of the conveyor belt. The supplier supplies cleaning fluid to the absorber. The supply controller controls a supply of cleaning fluid from the supplier to the absorber, in such a manner that the supply controller, in response to a print command, makes the supplier supply cleaning fluid to the absorber for a first period of time before the conveyor belt driving mechanism rotates the rollers to make the conveyor belt start traveling.
