摘要： A silver halide photographic material is disclosed, which has at least one compound represented general formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R represents an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, or a heterocyclic group; both L and Time represent a divalent organic group; t represents 0 or 1; PUG represents a photographically useful group; Y represents --SO.sub.2 --, --Y'--SO.sub.2 --, or ##STR2## and Y' represents --O--, --NH--, or ##STR3## The material has a broad exposure latitude in line image-taking work and has a high resolving power in the work. It can form an ultrahard image having a high gamma value of 10 or more. The material may excellently reproduce a line original to form an ultrahard image having a high background density. It also has a broad exposure latitude in halftone dot image-taking work and can form a halftone dot image having ultrahigh contrast with high image quality.

摘要： A method of processing a silver halide photographic material comprising processing the silver halide photographic material in the presence of an antifoggant which is an organic compound which loses its developing restraining function by a reduction oxidation reaction with oxidized developers. The method improves the discrimination between image and non-image areas of the silver halide photographic material by the novel antifoggant which restrains fog selectively in non-image areas without decreasing photographic sensitivity and image density. The organic compound can be an anti-foggant which possesses a moiety according to the Kendall-Pelz rule and either a mercapto group or a cyclic NH group.

The silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material has improved RMS graininess as well as improved visual graininess.

The precursor of photographic agent is completely stable during the preservation of the photographic light-sensitive material and releases a photographically useful agent at a desired time during processing of the photographic light-sensitive material. The precursor can exhibit its function to a substantial degree under mild conditions, such as in a pH range of from 9 to 12.

摘要： A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon a silver halide emulsion layer containing a magenta color image forming polymer coupler latex which is capable of forming a dye upon coupling with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine developing agent and which is a polymer or copolymer having a repeating unit derived from a monomer represented by the following general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a chlorine atom; and X represents a halogen atom, an acylamino group, a carbamoyl group, a sulfonamido group, a sulfamoyl group, a cyano group or an alkoxycarbonyl group and which is present at the 4-position or 5-position of the phenyl group. The magenta color image forming polymer coupler latex has a good color forming property and is capable of forming a dye with a high yield and without formation of undesired stains and fogs, and the silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material containing the magenta color image forming polymer coupler latex has good film strength and a reduced layer thickness and provides a stable magenta image having an improved sharpness and a good fastness to light, heat, and humidity. A method of forming a color image using the silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material is also described.
