CONSTITUTION: An energy recovery method of an absorption type water heating and cooling system is as follows. The liquid having absorbed steam from a vacuum heat exchanger is delivered to an evaporator with high pressure so that the liquid is evaporated by an evaporator and the heat from the steam is collected. The evaporator contacts the interior or exterior of the heat exchanger to generate steam. The temperature of the steam is raised above the temperature of the liquid by a steam heating apparatus. The steam is compressed to a lower pressure and delivered to the heat exchanger. The heat of the compressed steam is transferred to the evaporator to condense the steam, and the remaining steam is used as a heating source.
