    • PURPOSE:To give a positive extinguishing function to a mat by arranging plural pieces of hollow blocks crosswise at regular intervals, covering each block with both surface and back materials, and filling up an fire extinguisher in a hollow part of the block. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of hollow blocks 1 are arranged crosswise at a specified gap G between adjacent blocks 1. Next, they are covered with a surface material 3 and a back material 4, and a flat continuous body 2 with a thin-wall part 6 is formed between the gap G, setting it down to a mat body. At proper time of a manufacturing process, a fire extinguisher 5 is injected and filled up in each hollow part of these blocks 1. Successively a mat is cut off into a desired form in tracing a line of the thin-wall part 6, and each one is stuck as a surface decorative material or a wall lining material for those of floor, wall, ceiling, fittings or the like.

    • PURPOSE: To utilize absorption and radiation of the latent heat at each of stepwise changing m.ps. by making an emulsion contg. an org. compd. as a main constituent having a m.p. is a specified range, except the m.p. of ice. CONSTITUTION: A composition wherein heat of fusion of a cold preservation material including ice can cause two or three times of melting phenometa at e.g. 0, 5, 10 deg.C is changed into an emulsion by adjusting ratio of a fatty acid ester, non-ionic surfactant and water, then viscosity increases to form a sherbet- like product with decreasing temp. and at above-zero temperatures of about 0 deg.C-+15 deg.C the product can be used as a heat storage material contg. ice and having two times or more of m.p. Fatty acid esters such as propyl lourate, isopropyl myristate, isopropyl palmitate, sorbitan monolourate, sorbitan sesquioleate, polyoxyethylene (6) sorbitan monooleate, and polyethylene glycol monolourate or the like, and animal/plant fats and oils, low mol.wt. polyolefins and higher alcohols or the like can be use as a primary constituent of this heat storage material.
